Michael is passionate about reorganization and decorating. He helped me declutter and organize my closets, living room, kitchen as well as my art supplies and studio room. Art can be hard to organize for someone without context but Michael worked with me to understand my needs well and customized every idea. He is a pleasure to work with and took great care and thought in setting up my home as if it were his own.
I met Michael last June while I was at a Spa Resort in St Helena. He was renovating several of the rooms there and I was very impressed with how beautifully he transformed the spaces. We spoke briefly and he gave me his card and explained that he also did staging, interior decorating, flowers and party planning. A few months later when I was planning a 40th birthday party I contacted him to see if he could assist. Initially I was expecting to have him decorate and maybe do some floral arrangements. We met and I explained to him that I wanted to do an open house type event, in my home where guests could drop in throughout the day. I knew I needed to maximize my space and needed a menu and some decorative help. He said he could do it all, and I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive. He said he would get back to me and to expect an email. Within two hours I had an appetizer menu, cocktail recommendations, a detailed spreadsheet with a list of supplies needed, the approximate cost and places I could go to find these items and attached images of decorating/ staging ideas that he thought would be appropriate. I quickly realized that he really knew what he was doing, so I hired him to do it all. Over the next three weeks, he was extremely conscientious in keeping me informed of his progress. The night before the event he requested a six hour window of time to work alone, to get everything set up, staged and decorated. Then he brought me in to walk thru and make sure it was all completed to my satisfaction. I have to say I was very very pleased with his work. He said he would be back the next day to put on the finishing touches. But when the guests started to arrive he began showing them in, and taking their coats. He helped make drinks, maintained the bar and buffet table and ended up staying the whole day. He was marvelous and I had the best time enjoying my own party. It was much more than I expected and I could not have done it without him. In January, I was able to hire Michael again for a company event. Annually we bring in our entire National Sales Team to meet and review our sales, new products and host a special awards dinner. This year it was held at the Clift Hotel and I wanted Michael to do all the staging and set up for it. He worked with the hotel staff and did a beautiful job decorating the entrance with lighted balloons simulating clouds (our latest development) he brought in fresh flower arrangements for the banquet room and did little arrangements with candles for the table centerpieces. He even decorated the outside balcony area and the restrooms. Our CEO and Director of Sales were impressed and asked that I bring Michael back for our Holiday event.
We hired Lions Gate Electric to help put our Christmas lights up. First off, they promptly contacted me after I submitted my job on Thumbtack and they quoted a reasonable price. Secondly, the installer who came out to our home, Ben, was awesome! He was kind and did a beautiful job. The excitement on my kids' faces when they saw the finished product was priceless. Yard clean up- previous owners had left dog and cat poop and fur all over the yard as well as a years worth of leaves...Mr. Squeegie had no problem cleaning it up quickly and cheaply and I found out he could repair my damaged screens and take down the previous owners Christmas lights! It was an awesome day!
I got the decoration done through Dazzling streaks for our party. We had a minion theme planned,and Manya did a excellent job and everything was done in time.
Nicki was always prompt, attentive and full of energy and terrific ideas. Her choices of wall paint colors was also an added and unexpected bonus! It is highly apparent that she is a veteran in the staging industry, and NOT a 'newbie' who chooses the cheap route of pulling strange furnishings out of their friend's homes to use. Nicki was not offended when I requested a stager over a certain age, as I'm decorating in a 50's theme for a real estate listing of mine, and she immediately knew how to proceed. I hired Isaac for my Ugly Christmas Sweater Party and he was amazing. He played our guests requests. Isaac also played top hits and jammed the night away with old school hip hop and dance music. Isaac is very professional, and personable. He did such a great job we hired him a few months later for a family party. I would highly recommend for any family, or adult only party.

Maria helped us decorate our office suite in San Francisco. After getting general suggestions of what we wanted to do she presented several unique and trendy ideas for our space. Rachelle is an awesome interior designer and color consultant! We first engaged her in 2011 for help with decorating our remodeled living room and we loved her work so much we asked her to come back two years later and help us after our kitchen remodel. She helped us select paint color for our walls and kitchen cabinets as well furniture, rugs and lighting. She also arranged with vendors for any custom work we needed, such as custom-sized cushions for the various sitting benches we have in our home. Not only were the multiple options she provided great, but she listened and was very patient with us throughout the process. Erika (Cast Your Cares Event Planning) is a true professional planner and an excellent event coordinator. Rosa and I chose Erika to coordinate our wedding and although it was the biggest wedding in town, it certainly had it's challenges and Ms. Erika handled everyone of them like a pro. We could not have been happier with Erika and her work with us and our vendors. Her greatest asset was no more evident and very much on display, the day of our wedding. Wow... Erika was spot on from start to finish, keeping all those involved with our special day, on time and together. From getting my bride's hair and makeup finished (with photos!) and into the limo to the church ON TIME, to making sure all of our guests were enjoying the reception (photos of us at each table), and then keeping us on time leaving the reception and off to our life as husband and wife. Just a well done job all around. I would like to complement Erika on her beautiful decorations for the reception (tables, cake tables, etc,) and her expert management the guest seating chart (which is not and easy chore) .... Rosa and I were so impressed with Erika's work coordinating our wedding, we do plan to chose Cast Your Cares again with upcoming professional and special events (milestone birthdays and charity functions).
