Daniel M. says, "I have had a great experience taking piano lessons with Shaun! He is deeply knowledgable in theory, mechanics, and rhythm and his passion really shines through and is infectious. The lessons are highly engaging and are a good mix of playing and theory and he does a great job adjusting the material and the balance of the content based on a student's needs. Shaun is highly patient and caring and goes above and beyond to ensure a student has the highest possibility of success. For instance, he not only consistently uploads video tutorials of songs we are working on, but also different versions emphasizing different aspects of the piece (e.g. rhythm, expression/articulation etc.). He also prints out material helping illustrate material and uses a white board to help explain concepts. Overall, he does everything he can to cater to a student's needs and uses a plethora of methods to help one progerss. I also appreciated Shaun's flexibility! He is very undertanding of people's schedules and is also happy to work on whatever song I wanted to. His passion for all music is great because he can work on songs from a wide range of genres (jazz, pop, classical/movie scores, etc.). Shaun also does a good job of progressing individual pieces, starting from playing a simple version to a more complex one which helps with a sense of progress. In short, a fantastic teacher that made his lessons a part of the week I always looked foward to!"See more
