I took Spanish for 3 years in high school, kept studying on my own for another 5 or 6 years, and considered myself an intermediate-level student. At some point, I realized that my grammar was somewhat decent, but my ability to actually communicate in the language was very limited (to say the least), so I decided to go ahead and find some help. I tried a couple of other tutors before Marc. They were OK, but - plain and simple - I got kind of bored... And then I found Marc! He can converse about movies, travels, music, History, Philosophy, social issues... All the while listening to my use of the language, and pausing to give notes, corrections, and suggestions. In addition, he'll often email me with some notes, links, or further explanations about any grammar issues that we may have encountered in our last session, as well as recommend Spanish movies, podcasts, or articles.
Marc has true love for the Spanish language, a very warm character, and real commitment to his students. I totally recommend him to anyone looking to take their Spanish to the next level!
