It was my pleasure to work with Ron at the Park District of Oak Park, IL up through 2012 when I retired. Ron was the Safety Coordinator, I was the ED and his Supervisor. His role as SC was to coordinate specific Safety and Risk Management functions. One of those functions was to schedule and instruct first aide, CPR and safety for several 100 employees. Ron was always very articulate, up to date and most of all caring. He was able to work with all levels of employees very well. I could count on him to make sure staff members walked away from training well informed and prepared. Ron was someone I relied on to be on time, be prepared and work with employees of very different backgrounds and skill levels. He was a key member of my team.

Ron was our Safety Coordinator at the Park District of Oak Park and directly responsible for our Risk Management program. As such he not only coordinated but also often taught CPR, First Aid and AED trainings. His trainings were well organized, engaging and relatable for the attendees. He knows the material inside and out and affords the trainees a great learning experience.

I recently took the CPR and First Aid class and the class was very informative. Ron made learning the skills simple and interactive. I would highly recommend taking the class from Ron if you want to learn CPR and first aid.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the number of students I teach. For up to 5 students I charge 22.00 per student. Any number over 5, I charge 17.00 dollars per student. I think this is a great deal considering most fire dept. instruction would charge you 50.00 for the CPR/AED module alone. Remember each session is approx. 3 hours long and this includes the certification card.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
CE is required every 2 years. I'm also required to complete clinicals as part of my Paramedical status.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Being a member of the fire department and teaching citizens in my community. I've done this for close to 30 years and haven't stopped.
