We were very pleased with the Shaping and Restoring Landscape company. Anselmo, the boss, made sure his crew was on time, courteous and carried out our ideas exactly the way we wanted. If something was not quite the way we envisioned it, they were quick to change. What we really appreciated was his willingness to work with us as partners in our landscape project. If I wanted to keep a scraggly plant for sentimental reasons, Anselmo worked with me to create a beautiful landscape. He gave advice on types of plants to buy. The irrigation system was well engineered. His crew did not leave until they were sure it worked well - it worked excellently! One part of the job that we were worried about was a challenging area requiring skillful knowledge of masonry. The area had been an ugly hole from a rotting tree trunk. Anselmo's brother, Fernando, was a skilled craftsmen who planned out and skillfully laid a foundation and then artfully pieced together quartzite stones into a beautiful stone landing . We couldn't believe the end result. If you are looking for a crew of landscapers who are punctual, courteous, knowledgeable, hard working and nice, then Shaping and Restoring Landscape is the company to hire.

I couldn't be happier. Anselmo did a great job on our landscaping project. It included some hardscaping (concrete sitting wall, block retaining wall, and DG area), lots of grass, planting, irrigation, pruning, clean-up, and fencing. Throughout the project Anselmo was on-site and hands-on. He and the team are hard-working and know what they are doing. Anselmo was very responsive to changing requirements and always with a can-do positive attitude. He took full responsibility for his work. If something didn't come out right then it was simply re-done. No need to argue.. Results are great! Pricing-wise I found Anselmo to be very reasonable. Two thumbs way up! Easily the best contractor we ever hired (and we had a lot of them...) If you are looking for a contractor who will give you a beautiful/detailed spreadsheet in a nice shiny folder with the company logo on it, then Anselmo is not your guy. But if you want someone who just knows his stuff and is pleasure to work with, then you found him...

Anselmo was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He had great ideas and helped us think of creative solutions for making our sloped yard more useable. On start day, he brought a full crew and was very efficient in getting the bulk of our project done in just a few days. At one point in the project, a mistake was discovered in some measurements taken and despite the work already being done, Anselmo immediately took responsibility and fixed the problem by redoing it. It is wonderful to work with someone so smart, hard-working, and trustworthy and we will be sure to use him again for any of our landscaping needs in the future!

Anselmo and team were fast, flexible, stayed in communication and helped us make good decisions that resulted in a great outcome. Our lawn looks AMAZING. We offer a quality and certify service for a reasonable price, so keep in mind that we have to add over cost not only materials and labor.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started working with Skip Parodi on 2004 who had his well successful landscape company for around 40yrs. (LAWN PLUS). So, I still working and learning at Jelich Ranch from him and also from Terence Welch who is a fruit tree specialist and certified arborist. Since Skip is almost retired, I decided to officially start my own Landscape company.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love nature, so I started working at an organic farm where I learned how to take care of some fruit trees from planting to harvest. Also, I start working on weekends doing landscape where I learned more about it, so I decided to officially start my own business in 2017.
