I would highly suggest Michael Davidson as a tutor. I am 43 years old and had been out of school for quite a while, but because of the tutoring I got from Michael, I passed my math GED test with flying colors! He is very knowledgeable, helps you to figure out which areas that you need to focus on the most and explained different ways of how to handle the math problems. He also provided positive inspiration to help me get through the toughest of math problems and cheered me on to the end! Thank you again for everything, Michael!
This past summer, I was in search of a tutor to assist my brother with his preparation for the ACT. A number of conversations with local tutors proved fruitless, as they were either too expensive or had rigid schedules. After doing some research online, I came across Joyees profile on Wyzant. I was particularly impressed by his extensive background in ACT tutoring having worked for some well-regarded test preparation companies. In addition, his rates were extremely fair. I enlisted Joyees tutoring services via skype, and my experience was remarkable. In spite of the three hour time difference between the east coast and west coast, Joyee remained a consummate professional with regard to his scheduling and punctuality. Most importantly, he is fully invested in his students, demonstrating patience and understanding whilst pushing them to achieve their full potential. Prior to working with Joyee, my brother had an initial diagnostic score of 27. After six weeks of tutoring with Joyee my brother scored a 35 on the September 2015 ACT. I highly recommend Joyee, his tutoring services are the perfect complement for any motivated high school student seeking help with test preparation.
Ray has been such a positive and reliable tutor. He has created a relationship with my daughter that allows her to be comfortable, confident, and she actually enjoys her tutoring time. He is always patient and encouraging. Her testing has improved significantly. We plan to have "Mr.Ray" around for a long time!
I have worked long and hard with Kenneth, my tutor from elite home tutoring. I originally thought working with a tutor while in college was foolish. I'm surrounded by people who I thought would be eager to help. Kenneth is a teacher who helps people like me in his free time. The difference is that Kenneth is more interested in my success than my classmates who are more interesryed in partying. Advanced calculus is difficult so I would say kens help is worth it.
Blas has been tutoring my 13 year old grandson for the past few weeks who is struggling with math. My grandson appeared overwhelmed at first but just this past Monday, he seemed more confident and relaxed. Blas is very patient and knowledgeable and he is doing an excellent job with my grandson, not just with math but also with his confidence level. My grandson looks forward to his tutoring two days a week. I would highly recommend Blas.
Mr. Reid is a great tutor. He helped me get a better understanding on how to solve quadratic equations, completing the square and on exponential functions. I have scheduled to meet with him once a month for more tutoring.
My daughter had a “D” in AP Calculus when she started to work with Ahmed. He had to reteach foundational concepts and within 2 1/2 months she has a chance to earn an “A” for the semester. Ahmed is a patient, highly knowledgeable, effective teacher. I would wholeheartedly recommend him as a tutor. We were so impressed with his results, we have him tutoring my younger daughter as well!
I have two children that are tutoring with Nancy. My children were behind in school but after tutoring with Nancy they are making leaps and bounds in their academic studies. Nancy is very professional, fun, engaging, and patient. We're happy to have found her. Thank you Nancy!
Lola is spectacular and patient! She helped me reach my SAT goal. I'm glad that she was my SAT tutor. Thank you Lola!
I am very happy with the tutoring we received. They have thousands of Tutors all over the country. They can come to your house or offer online services. We tried both and I prefer online. Both are excellent choices.
Arbor Tutors is the best tutoring company anywhere. We tried several other tutors before Arbor and found exactly what we are looking for here.
We did in home tutoring with Arbor Tutors and were extremely happy. I would not hesitate using Arbor Tutors again.
Excellent SAT and ACT tutoring.
I hired Arbor Tutors to help my daughter with chemistry and math. She ended up with As. Online tutoring works great with these guys as their system is better than what I expected. They were able to help us very quickly. Much better value than other companies
FLEX Tutoring believes there is no "one size fits all" method for teaching. What works well for one student may not work at all for another. With that in mind, we use a three-pronged approach that is wholistic, flexible, and integrative for effective tutoring to get maximum results. WHOLISTIC Tutoring to Meet the Needs of Individuals By treating the student as a whole person, FLEX seeks to address the real sources of academic issues. While each student is different, FLEX tutors are trained to look for both inter-subject and intra-subject challenges. For example, a student having difficulty with math (intra-subject difficulties) may really be struggling with comprehending word problems (inter-subject difficulties involving both reading and math). FLEXIBLE Tutoring to Encourage Learning Styles FLEX Tutoring recognizes there are many different learning styles and that not all students learn well through auditory and visual methods (the two styles most commonly used in the classroom). Instead of rigidly adhering to a particular learning style or set of styles, FLEX tutors incorporate all learning styles into their instructional approach - from aural and visual, to verbal, physical, logical, social, and solitary. INTEGRATIVE Tutoring to Achieve Student Success FLEX Tutoring integrates a variety of life skills into each student's curriculum as part of our mission to foster personal growth. In addition to subject-specific content, FLEX tutors work with students to improve their study skills, note-taking techniques, time management, test-taking strategies, and stress management. These complementary skills prepare FLEX students for the challenges of modern life - from establishing work-life balance to efficiently managing the demands of higher education.
ABOUT I am a teacher with a multicultural teaching credential. I have a BA in literature and linguistics, as well as a master's degree in psychology and sociology. I have been a classroom teacher for 14 years, and I have been teaching almost every grade level, from kindergarten to high school. I have been tutoring school-age children for the past six years. I can tutor a specific subject that your child is struggling with, or I can simply give them the extra boost you're looking for. I can split a session into two lessons to touch on multiple subjects, or I use part of the time for teaching and the other part for working on homework, projects or specific lessons. I can also do small group tutoring with 3 kids together at a reduced rate for each. Oftentimes, this helps students by creating a comfortable environment that is almost classroom-like. I find it most beneficial for the students to do tutoring lessons either twice a week for one hour each or once a week for a two-hour lesson. My tutoring rates are the following: * Individual 1- 2 hour session: $85 per hour * Small Group 1-Hour or 2-Hour Sessions: $60 per Student/per Hour Homeschooling services also available.
I am a college student, but all throughout high school, I helped others with tutoring. I excel in Math, but I am capable of almost any other subject.

Learn what it takes to get into Harvard and to other top schools.
Hi! My name is Nikhita, and I'm currently a student at Caltech in Pasadena, CA. I've been tutoring for the past five years or so. I've always enjoyed helping people, so I decided to try my hand at tutoring in early high school. I primarily tutor math, since it is one of my favorite subjects and is one that I am very comfortable with. If you are a high school student currently studying for the SAT, I am also available to help you with that.
I tutor mostly high school and college students in mathematics, elementary Spanish, and introductory chemistry.
Customer service and satisfaction have been my specialty for years. I've worked within teams and have educated/trained many colleagues over the years. I was also a team leader for most of my collegiate team/group projects. In addition, I worked at the college tutoring center for a few years and am in the process of obtaining my CBEST teaching credentials. Coupled with my extensive education and my people-person personality, I am the tutor of your future.
