My son was extremely nervous during his first lessons to the point where his hands were sweaty. Michelle was great at building his confidence during his first lesson and her patience with him was unbelievable. He left very happy and excited for his next lessons.

I am seeing Daniel for about 6 months now and I have found his lessons to be very helpful, very patient and very direct when I'm not doing things properly. He has a very easy-going nature and is quick to pick up on things that you need to work on to improve your singing. While I am just an amateur singer, his other students seem to be professional grade. I highly recommend him

Daniel has been an excellent voice coach to my daughter. I love the structure he implements on his lessons and his patience of teaching my 9 year old. He continuously motivates, and guides her while learning her favorite songs and explains the importance of practicing during the week to gain full advantage of the voice lessons. I strongly recommend his lessons, he's very talented and experienced person.

I chose Bob to help me understand music theory and how it relates to the electric bass. He understands exactly what it is that I am trying to achieve and has constructed my lesson plan accordingly. He has been flexible with my schedule, and I return frequently as to make sure I'm getting the most out of his lessons.

This is my fourth attempt at guitar lessons. The others, though semi successful, were not particularly interesting nor invigorating. This has been a much different experience. The lessons are actually fun...FUN...to do while the entire guitar is being used immediately! I have learned so much and I finally understand the big picture. I can begin to conceptualize what I'd like to hear and do, then actually do it. Before I was just following music or chord progression sheets without being able to put it all together, just go from one song or exercise to another. I still have a long way to go, but I can see the difference! Andrew's personality and approach causes me to push myself more than before, because I am not playing at guitar, I am actually playing. I also like and appreciate how Andrew adapts the guitar education to each person's skill and aptitude. Offering classes that are "jam" sessions is a lot of fun and increases the focus while learning important techniques and concepts. I have not taken all of the various classes yet, but I am certainly intending to! If you have put your guitar down because it got boring or you got too busy, time to dust it off and join the fun! If you've never picked up a guitar because it seemed hard or you felt that you would never amount to the artists on the radio, come try it out. You will not be disappointed! It is worth this investment in your time and yourself.

Great Instructions. Mr. Brett and Mr. Jack. Great serve in general the Secretary is so warm welcoming and goodies.Back to the main Topic:CPR lessons Instructors are very well knowledgeable about both the material and at the same time the students weakness ,plus knowing how to pass that fear, anxiety that question if im going to do the right thing. Both gives examples that empowers and inspires every one to feel not scared but just ready for that moment. I have been a nurse since 1999. Every 2 years I have taken CPR classes this was the most class I was able to understand every step and what you need most to make a difference in the victims life. Im so confident that this is my CPR class for me and I recommend to the nation. Thank you.

Craig has taken me from a self taught, stuck, going nowhere fast guitar player. To someone who is constantly improving on guitar. One of the great things about Craig is that he pushes your skills. Meaning he'll give you a song out of your comfort zone to keep you moving. Another thing I like about his lessons is that he tailors lessons around your goals for guitar.

The difference in my daughter from her beginning to work with Ms. Sydney and finishing working with her was incredible. It was like seeing a completely different child. Not only did my daughter grow in her singing, her confidence levels boosted significantly, and she became a happier child. Ms. Sydney doesn't just come in finish the lesson and bail, she genuinely loves and cares for your child! I could not recommend her more!

Kevin taught voice to both my son and daughter. He is a passionate and inspiring teacher. My kids looked forward to lessons every week. Kevin tailored the lessons to their individual interests, while teaching them the skills they needed to progress as vocalists. He is incredibly talented, and his vast knowledge of different musical genres provided a great foundation and education for my kids.

I am a student at UC Davis, majoring in Spanish. Andry has been an amazing tutor. During our sessions, she helps me with my essay compositions and projects. She is also very responsive and will go out of her way to correct your papers on her own time. Thanks to Andry, I feel confident in the work I submit and I have been able to stay on track with all of my assignments. Thanks Andry, you are the best!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is CPR training?

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (better known as CPR) is a lifesaving manual technique that pumps oxygenated blood back into the body’s organs if someone’s heart or breathing has stopped. A variety of CPR training is available to community members, employees and healthcare providers. CPR training may last two to five hours or more, depending on the content and the target audience. During the training, students will learn how to recognize and respond to an emergency situation. There are different CPR techniques for adults and children, but with both you will learn how to determine whether the person is conscious before administering chest compression. During the training you’ll learn chest compression techniques for adults and different techniques for children between the ages of 1 and 8. Students learn how to properly administer chest compressions, when the technique is appropriate and when it is not, and how long you must perform rescue measures. Students also learn what an automatic external defibrillator (AED) is and how to use it if necessary to shock a patient before administering CPR chest compressions.

How do I become CPR and first aid certified?

You can earn CPR training and receive first aid certification in a number of ways. Choose an online course to learn the materials remotely and then find a testing location to complete the certification process with an in-person demonstration of your knowledge and skills. Encourage your workplace to host a first aid and CPR training so employees can learn what to do in case of a workplace emergency and how to respond with lifesaving techniques. You may also be able to take a CPR or first aid class in your community. A basic CPR training may run four to five hours. After receiving CPR training, you’ll know how to respond if an adult or a child goes into cardiac arrest or stops breathing. You’ll learn how to use chest compressions to keep blood pumping to a person’s organs, which can keep them alive until an emergency responder can arrive. First aid and CPR training can also include education about how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

What does a Spanish tutor do?

The goal of a Spanish tutor is to help students improve their Spanish reading, writing, comprehension, and conversation skills. The tutor’s approaches may vary, depending on whether the instruction is individual or a group class. Many Spanish tutors practice immersion — meaning they will speak only Spanish with their pupils. For students with little to no Spanish experience, the Spanish tutor may use a mix of Spanish and English to accustom their students to speaking the language.

A Spanish tutor can offer a wide range of services to their students. For students currently enrolled in a Spanish class through their middle school or high school, a Spanish tutor can help them with homework and language practice, as well as expanding their understanding of their current school curriculum. For adults, Spanish tutors will have different approaches based on that student’s need. Academics and those seeking high-level professional development for their career will often have more intensive and targeted lessons, drills, and interactive speaking tests. For adults who wish to learn conversational Spanish for fun or for travel, lessons may revolve around learning commonly used phrases and practicing speaking in relaxed settings.

    What is first aid training?

With first aid training, you may be able to help save a life. First aid training can teach people who are not medical professionals how to help a sick or injured person in crisis before an ambulance arrives on the scene. Most commonly, first aid training helps teach you how to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

First aid training can teach you how to respond in a variety of emergency situations, including:

    • Asthma attack
    • Anaphylaxis
    • Burns
    • Choking
    • Diabetic emergencies
    • External bleeding
    • Heart attack
    • Poisoning
    • Neck, head or back injury
    • Stroke
    • Seizure

First aid training classes may be offered by professionals who are affiliated with the Red Cross, which offers online, in-person, and blended training classes. First aid classes are also often offered through local recreation centers, city services, schools, hospitals and private companies.

What do you learn in a first aid course?

First aid training gives you a variety of lifesaving skills for responding to many different emergency situations. In a first aid course you’ll learn about how to examine someone who’s been hurt, how to use a defibrillator, how to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and how to control bleeding and trauma. Some courses include pediatric first aid as well as adult first aid; helping a choking infant, for example, is different from helping a choking adult. Although you can take CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) courses separately, most first aid training includes both.

In a first aid course you’ll also learn how to respond to:

    • Wounds, including punctures, cuts and hemorrhages
    • Heart attacks, chest pain and respiratory arrest
    • Bone fractures, sprains and torn muscles
    • First-, second- and third-degree burns
    • Poisoning
    • Choking
    • Bites and stings
    • Hypothermia or frostbite
    • Shock and seizures
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
