FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically, with one student meeting with me in midtown Sacramento or online, pricing is just based on the hourly rate. However, based on the following factors, the price might go up: -if I need to travel outside of Midtown Sacramento. (travel fee) -if there is more than one student in the class (basic hourly rate for additional students: +$15 per hour per additional student)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For our first class, I recommend the students have something to write and a mid-sized notebook. First we talk about the student's previous exposure to French and his/her goals. Then we get started with an easy comprehension exercise in which I introduce myself in French. The student does the same. Based on the initial feedback and also on the personal introduction, I can assess where the student is at level wise. According to his/her level and goals, we start working with corresponding material. Note that when we have online classes, I will teach you how to use Skype for our communication as well as Google Docs for all the note taking. Doing homework is at the discretion of the student. (Of course, it is strongly recommended)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
