I'm a professional chef working in San Francisco, I've been taking recurring classes with Teena independently to further educate myself in Indian Cookery. I've learned a bunch from Teena since starting class and i would highly recommend taking her classes whether you're an experienced cook or brand new to the kitchen. The pacing of the class is always perfect and the food is all delicious!

Teena and Tony set up a venue, provided recipes and taught us to cook them. They are very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. The recipes are written in a professional chef's style and the kitchen tools are very good. Since this was their first time at the new venue there were some unexpected difficulties. We were too many people for the space. Tony, Teena and her helpers had a hard time keeping people that need more hand-holding productive, and could not spend a lot of time on the little sub-classes they had planned (knife skills, food science, etc)

Martin, thank you for being patient & understanding. You were our first team building group in the new space. We really appreciate your feedback and will make some adjustments from this learning experience. We are pleased to announce that since your group cooked with us, we have had A+ rated team building events since. We live and learn:-)

We had 3 people go to Teena's place in the Peninsula to have an Indian cooking lesson as part of our team bonding. (We're a small team.) It was a perfect experience! There are enough tasks that people of different cooking comfort levels can do, and the recipes were super accessible. We learned to do papdums, raita, a special pullao rice, kidney bean curry and aloo ghobbi mattar. Teena also had a little extra dessert for us. It was all so delicious! I was wary it would be too dietetic/ crunchy/ healthy, but Teena's focus is more on nutrition and what foods help with what conditions/ailments, and not really on dieting. My teammate was also wary since it was a vegetarian menu and she loves to cook meats and poultry, but she also ended up loving these recipes. I think 4 people, *maybe* 5, can fit in Teena's kitchen, but after that you should be prepared to use your own kitchen or another commercial kitchen you'd have to find access to.

Thank you! It was my pleasure Rachel! I love teaching the wonderous vegetarian cuisine of India. I am happy that the veg aspect was satisfying:-) Spice can do wonders for the palate, and our health! Happy Holidays to you all.

I asked Chef Teena for a 1-hour seminar for my customer on substituting salt, fat and sugar in cooking. With that limited description she blew me away. She is professional, well prepared, bursting with ideas. Her presentation was informative, engaging, and entertaining. She is a natural in front of an audience. The simple, but fresh fare was easy to make and delicious! My customer was happy, I am ecstatic!! Thank you Chef Teena!!

Teena is a fantastic cooking teacher. She is patient and listens to what the student wants to learn. Teena has a charismatic teaching style that makes cooking fun! My goal was to become a healthier vegetarian and with Teena I learned entire meals from the tantalizing appetizer to the scrumptious dessert while sipping on homemade chai tea and mango lassi. Teena introduced my friend and me to the wonders of Indian cooking in a fun, easygoing atmosphere. Teena is a joy to be around, and she demystified the use of Indian spices and tamed my fear of the (seemingly) involved cooking procedures. We made five dishes in under four hours with delicious taste treats all along the way. I am now a pressure cooker convert, and I will be getting my curry love on with new found confidence. I highly recommend Teena and expect to take additional classes from her in the near future.

Thank you for the rave Ingrid:-) It was a pleasure meeting you and I am happy to learn that you are a pressure cooker convert...I can't live without my 3 PCs! Looking forward to teaching you more treasured family recipes. Stay spicy!

Teena is fun to be with and a true expert on Indian cooking and the health benefits of particular spices. We made five different dishes, each a meal in itself. She was organized, had planned ahead, and was well prepared. I recommend Teena without reservation if you have ever wanted to learn how to cook Indian food.
