Deck or Porch Repair
Guy from Phillips Construction is great to work with. He supervised our deck construction which came out great, I would definitely recommend Phillips Construction.

Stucco Application
We have an old house with siding around the garage that has been leaking in the rain. We wanted to replace the siding with stucco to fix the problem. Termites had gotten in and caused damage to the structure. Guy told us that we didn't have to stucco and we could just clean up the siding and repair the termite damage. He gave me explicit directions on how to do it. He is very detailed orientated. So since we decided not to stucco I decided (with his suggestions) to fix the termite damage myself. I'm retired now and I use to do construction. Anyway, he was very helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to hire him for a job I couldn't handle. Bottom line is that he didn't try to sell us on a bigger job that would be more profitable for him and he gave us good advice.

Deck or Porch Remodel or Addition
They're still on the job but after a few nightmare experiences with others PC has renewed our faith in the possibilities that accompany the desire to improve your living space in a way that won't drive you into poverty. HOWEVER...one of the four floating bookshelves they installed failed. They maintain that they did their job correctly and while they charged us for the original installation, they then turned around and charged us for the repair to the original installation. This seems very much like a case of a bad dancer blaming their shoes though I'm sure they feel very differently. According to them "it is very hard to be responsible for something that failed out of our control." But after paying thousands of dollars on time without complaint it feels terrible to have them pass the buck on a shelf that didn't break in half but collapsed because of something very much in their control. So while 90 percent of the work they did for us was good, this shelf imbroglio has left a bad taste in our mouths and we're not likely to use them again. Just our 2 cents.
