Disappointing from the start. A project that was supposed to take 11 days was terminated by me after more than a month. The quality was highly dependent on the worker. One was excellent, one good, but went down quickly from there. Having a Spanish speaker in the home would be helpful. Some of the workmen communicated well, others not so much. The young man assigned to repair damaged kitchen tiles was unfamiliar with the product, which was sloppily applied and likely cheap as it had failed within a few weeks. Multiple tiles on the floor of the shower in the bathroom were damaged while they were being regrouted. To repair this would require a new pan and new tile. Estimated cost of several thousand dollars to repair the damage they did. We have decided to live with it for now. Varnish was dripped on and allowed to dry on the bathroom tile floor. The first set of cupboard doors were installed and then rejected by us due to very poor quality. Looking at the pictures, they clearly should not have been installed in the first place. The second was so poorly painted that the paint was damaged during installation, and we sent those back to be re-painted. About this time, we terminated the contract. When the cupboards were finally installed, we put up with the poor quality and odiferous paint for 2 or 3 weeks before hiring someone to remove them, sand them down and repaint them with a high-quality paint that we selected and paid for. While sanding the kitchen counters, the room should have been sealed better to keep more of the dust out of the living room and kitchen. As the cupboard doors had been removed, all our dishes and dry goods were covered with a layer of dust. Some of the tasks were well done. Molding around the mirrors, varnishing the bathroom cabinets, painting the island in the kitchen. The first thing they did was remove our cupboard doors. The last thing they did, unsuccessfully was to try to replace them three times. The owner will argue that no job is finished until a final walk-through; that we terminated the contract to save money, and that they never had the opportunity to finish the job. My argument was that I didn’t want to risk any more damage to my house. We won’t be saving money. By the time we’re done, we will likely to have paid more.
