What a great experience! I can't think of a more versatile and exceptional Personal Trainer! Petrina does an awesome job of challenging you and building your confidence. She really helped me develop my form and develop my back muscles. She also really helped with increasing my mobility and range of motion. I've worked with Petrina for close to 2 years now and she always amazes me with all of the new tricks she has up her sleeves! She's pretty amazing, she does body building competitions and ran a Boston Qualifying Marathon time.Aug 30, 2019
I can't say enough GREAT things about this woman. I have trained with four different personal trainers at this point in my life and Petrina is by far the best! She is always on time, prepared, focused on my individual needs, keeps me on track and somehow in all of this she stays so flexible with my busy schedule. Petrina is always in a positive, supportive and up beat mood. She is very professional and yet we still laugh and have a great time. The workouts she puts together are packaged to be fun while still VERY challenging and require that push myself to the next level. If you want the results, this is your girl!Sep 3, 2019
I have had many personal trainers in my life and a lot of them have been great but Petrina has been by far my favorite. She’s warm and friendly but don’t let that fool you....she will give you a vigorous work out. She stays focused on you the entire session. I’ve had trainers that text while you’re doing a set etc but Petrina stays so focused on your count and form. She’s just a wonderful person who can give you a very intense and results oriented work out. She’s very knowledgeable about health and meal plans so make sure to utilize that information she has too. Petrina Dunn is THE BEST personal trainer I have ever had in my life hands down! She's the perfect combination of sweet yet tough, so that you are distracted while she pushes you to your limit. ;) When we first met, Petrina was a trainer at my gym - Hardcore Fitness Downtown (Boot Camp & Fight Camp-style gym). She always had a smile on her face, a great attitude, excellent demonstrations / explanations of the exercises, and creative workouts planned. I followed her to her next gym because I wanted to try out her personal training sessions as well and boy, am I glad I did! She knows her stuff! She has helped me keep off weight I had shed through both training & specialized nutrition plans. She's also one of the nicest & most thoughtful human beings on the planet. I've gone through some tough personal things recently with my family's health and she is constantly checking in on me & offering to help with anything. Total lifesaver. Don't let that fool you though - she will KICK YOUR BUTT in the gym (if that's what you're looking for like I am) and wear a smile the whole time she's doing it!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Petrina to anyone with any type of fitness & life goals. She'll be your biggest champion. She chases her goals & will help you do the same. Petrina was my first-ever personal trainer. With her, i've lost over 30lbs and improved my overall athleticism incredibly. For example, we started out with simple box step-ups (not very high) and now i am able to do full 30in+ box jumps! She's uplifting and encouraging in her training style - i always felt challenged but never overwhelmed. Though she is friendly and easy to get along with, she maintains great focus and professionalism while training which i really learned to value (as i could talk my whole way through our training sessions but she kept our workouts deliberate and on track). It's been an incredible experience training with Petrina and i highly recommend her for all types of training from increasing overall athleticism, to muscle gain and definition, to general health/physique maintenance, and weight loss.Aug 29, 2019
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?For each new potential client, I offer a free, no-obligation session and assessment. This allows you to get to know me, how you'll be training each session, my facility as well as an opportunity for me to learn more about you, your habits and goals moving forward. My pricing is based on the package chosen, how often you train and the length of the session. After the free session, you'll have all of your options presented to you to make an informed decision.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Your first session is a completely free, no-obligation training session and consultation. This will provide you with a first-hand experience of what training will be like with me. At that time, too, you'll be presented with all of the options available to you, so you can make a truly informed decision on whether you'd like to continue with me. During the consultation, I will also take the time to get to know you, your fitness and nutritional habits, and present to you their professional recommendation on where to start.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am currently a Certified Personal Trainer with The American Council on Exercise (ACE), and am currently studying to obtain a Sports Nutrition Certification. In addition to the education, I have several years of experience in larger gyms.
