Introduction
My name is Nate Wehner and my mission is to create a lasting impact for my clients. I have a unique set of skills that allow me to work with anyone, no matter their fitness levels or their fitness goals. I work at a studio gym which is a high-end world-class facility designed for personal strength training. I have an Exercise Science degree from California Lutheran University, where I was a national champion collegiate baseball player. I am a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I also have strength training certifications from RTS (Resistance Training Specialist) and MAT (Muscle Activation Technique). 10 months ago I had a total right knee replacement followed by about 5 months of traditional physical therapy. All was well, but I felt I had plateaued. I had particular trouble putting on my right sock because I could barely lift my ankle onto my left knee and bend enough to accomplish this. I had occasion to mention this to Nate, and he evaluated the situation and gave me a very few simple isometric exercises to work on. He cautioned me to not overextend. I didn't quite follow his advice at first, but he humbled me into being less aggressive, AND IT WORKED! I'm now biking, walking long walks, golfing and I'm sure I'll be back to skiing when the snow flies. All thanks to Nate and his application of MAT. We have done all this via Zoom meetings and it has been quite effective. My highest endorsement of the technique, and Nate!

I work with Nate long distance; I am three states away. I have never met him in person. He is directing my MAT program to regain strength and movement. I am a 69 year old 100 pound over weight woman with arthritis, knee issues, and a shoulder injury. Before I met Nate and began his MAT program not only was my movement very limited, my attitude toward recovery was dismal. Nate has assessed my movement and given simple, very doable movements for me to repeat daily. Pain has been improved or removed altogether. I meet with him weekly online and receive encouragement, refinement of movement and new movements to include. Monthly Nate sends a refreshing newsletter to his clients that pinpoints thought patterns very familiar to me and engages new outlooks and a positive approach to physical healing. I was not walking prior to my work with Nate and I am now walking daily, and enjoying it! The three most valuable aspects of my work with Nate have been: 1. Simplicity - I can do everything he has given, in a reasonable amount of time. 2. The movements do not involve pain or extraordinary effort. Therefore doing them daily has easily been incorporated into my routine. 3. I look forward to doing them because the results is no pain and more movement. Nate is the best personal trainer I have worked with! He does a great job listening to my goals and building a strength training plan for me. In my workout sessions he pushes me and makes it fun. I am making great progress thanks to Nate.

Nate knows his stuff and has worked with me for the last 12 months on several issues I've had with my neck and ankles. In both cases his MAT technique relieved pain and has given me more range of motion while feeling much better. Highly recommend.
