Nate did a great job helping me recover from a shoulder injury. His initial assessment was free and then he put together a program for me to follow which helped me get back to complete strength. The equipment at Performance Biomechanics is all isometric based which means you can work specific muscles safely which was important to me. It is a quiet, private gym which is a nice change from the crowded big gyms. I have continued to do personal training with Nate and purchased a package which was a great value.

I signed up to work out with Nate thinking that I already knew what to do, but I needed an accountability partner. I used to be the guy at the gym who would walk in, see how many time he could bench press 355lbs, then start my real workout. That was 10 years ago, I wasn't nearly as strong or fit anymore, and I knew there was a lot of damage that I had done to my body that I've been ignoring for years. Nate had equipment and techniques that I had never seen before. I couldn't understand his description of the uniqueness of his training until I experienced it. His workouts are so targeted that I was working out muscles I didn't even know existed. The strength training was just the start, though. During our workouts, Nate identified where my body was compensating for past 'stress, trauma, and overuse' to my body. We were able to do MAT table work that has been successful so far at correcting the damage I had done to my left foot/toes by running 4 full and one half marathon without proper training, and probably with an underlying injury. I've seen podiatrists seeking help with the pain in that foot and the calluses that were building up abnormally quickly, only to be told that I would have to undergo a risky and most likely more damaging surgery in order to correct it. Nate is not a doctor, but they both looked at the same foot, identified the same problem, except the doctor told me to deal with it while Nate proposed that we just work on the connecting muscle to get the toes and therefore the bone to move. It's taking time, but it's working! He's been able to strengthen my shoulder, which is correct some grip issues, and is working to correct my knee issue. It also doesn't hurt that I'm not only stronger, but also down 80 pounds in the last 6 months from his training and recommendations of a proper diet and essential foods. I recommend Nate to all my friends, especially those who did the same damage to their bodies as I did, and tell them they just have to try it to see why his training is different. His training is definitely a game changer for current and past athletes or anyone who feels like their body just isn't working 100% the way they feel it should.

Working with Nate has been a game changer. He has not only created workout programs for both the gym and at home, but continually works with me to customize and hone the programs. Nate is easy to work with, flexible and works hard to make sure the programs he has created are meeting my needs. I highly recommend Nate and Synergy Training and Wellness.

Nate is a Phenomenal Trainer that specializes in proper body function/biomechanics and forum as a foundation before adding more weight to the routines. I have been training with him for about a year now and am more than happy with where I am at with my functionality. Being a chiropractor I agree with the methodology Nate provides. I look forward to each session and I know you will as well.

10 months ago I had a total right knee replacement followed by about 5 months of traditional physical therapy. All was well, but I felt I had plateaued. I had particular trouble putting on my right sock because I could barely lift my ankle onto my left knee and bend enough to accomplish this. I had occasion to mention this to Nate, and he evaluated the situation and gave me a very few simple isometric exercises to work on. He cautioned me to not overextend. I didn't quite follow his advice at first, but he humbled me into being less aggressive, AND IT WORKED! I'm now biking, walking long walks, golfing and I'm sure I'll be back to skiing when the snow flies. All thanks to Nate and his application of MAT. We have done all this via Zoom meetings and it has been quite effective. My highest endorsement of the technique, and Nate!
