Introduction: Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I'd like to take a moment and introduce myself. Congrats! You decided that it is time to take action and change your lifestyle, which isn't often easy. I truly believe the first step is the most difficult one, but often the most important. My name is Rich Noto, and I have been working professionally as a certified personal trainer for 18 years. I graduated with honors from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s of science degree in Kinesiology (study of human movement) and Nutrition.   My clientele list includes people from a wide range of abilities, such as, individuals with limited or no training experience, individuals needing to break plateaus, gain lean muscle mass, lose weight, get more toned, rehabilitation, increase strength, youth sports performance, and all the way up to collegiate and professional athletes. After graduating college, my professional career started as a thriving Private Trainer at New York City's premier training facility, The Sports Club- LA Rockefeller Center. Within my first year at The Sports Club, I was promoted to Master Trainer. During that time, I immersed myself in my career, perpetually learning and growing as a trainer, and as a person. I maintained a strong work ethic and endlessly strove to become one of the best in my field. Upon relocating to San Diego, I became a Fitness Manager of a newly built upscale health club. As the fitness manager, I created and developed their highly successful personal training program.   After these accomplishments, the natural progression of my career was to open my own personal training business, Visualize Fitness. Although I am an experienced and educated trainer, I often struggle with the same challenges my clients face. Just because I am a trainer does not mean I want to eat healthy foods for every meal and have the motivation to workout every day! Guess what… YOU DON’T HAVE TO EITHER. What fun would life be if that was the only path to your goals? I could never imagine giving up pizza or ice cream!   Personal training is NOT a diet or a trainer barking orders at you in the gym. It is a lifestyle change; a lifestyle change that allows you to enjoy the pleasures in life while still achieving your goals. I develop a valuable trust and personal relationship with all of my clients. I always encourage my clients to call or text me at anytime, whether they have questions or maybe just need to talk. It is important to remember that as your trainer and friend, I will be by your side every step of the way, progressing with you on your life changing fitness journey.   In addition to personal training, you will receive an education. After completion of training, my clients possess the skills and knowledge to maintain their lifestyles and physique. In fact, often times their friends and family ask them for advice! If you are reading this, it may be because you are seeking a change in your health, confidence, or appearance. There is no single better way to achieve your goals than with a personal trainer. Let’s face it, getting fit is not easy. If it were, everyone would be in shape. However, you can make it easier by allowing someone with the experience and knowledge to guide you.   You bring the dedication, and I will do the rest. Sincerely, Rich

Personal Training

Going into my first personal trainer experience, I was a bit skeptical and didn’t know what to expect. However, Rich has been super awesome through this whole experience and has made it so worthwhile. He is super encouraging and easy to talk to which makes workouts go by so fast! He is always on time and gets my hyped for working out even when I’m not feeling it. Since we started I have noticeably seen a difference in myself. I am super excited to continue working with him to get to my goal!

Personal Training

As someone in their 60s I had some concerns about working with a personal trainer. Rich has a good balance between encouraging you to exert effort but not pushing you beyond your limit. It is apparent in speaking with him that he has a deep knowledge of fitness and nutrition. I was pleased that Rich took the time up front to discuss both fitness goals and nutrition. I am glad that I chose him and would recommend him highly to anyone interested in improving their fitness.

Personal Training

I’m not a gym person; Rich Noto is a good human. I am 49 years old and have felt inadequate, self-conscious and super triggered at gyms as a result of being worked out until I threw up at the age of 15. After years of working too much and not taking care of myself, I decided that hiring a personal trainer was a good alternative to dying before I turned 50. I stalked Rich on social media for two months before I called him. I knew I needed someone special and kind; someone who was positive and wouldn’t make me feel like an overweight, middle-aged lady who should just hang it up and get a bunch of cats. Stalking Rich allowed me to see that he was a gentle man w/ a positive message. I used my powers for good and I had found my person! Rich’s style of training is low key and fun. You never get a sense he’s going to crush your spirit but, at the same time, he is pushing your limits in a strategic, steady and safe way. Sometimes the exercises almost seem like an afterthought but, then, after barely being able to tie your shoe in one breath, you can do 1000m on the rowing machine, push a sled with hundreds of pounds- maybe it’s just 100 but, work with me here- and run a quarter mile non-stop all in the same session! The best and most surprising part has been that I look forward to all of our sessions because they are always enjoyable. It’s been a little over two months since I started seeing Rich. I have lost 6.5% body fat and 3 and 1/2” off my waist. My gold bracelets are polished up, my invisible jet has a full tank and I feel more like myself than I have in years. I look forward to continuing my sessions with Rich and to looking like I’m 35 when I turn 50. My old looking friends are going to be so mad!

Personal Training

I started working with Rich less than a year ago, and can honestly say that he is the best personal trainer I have ever had. Having experienced my fair share of trainers who were unrelatable body builders, I was weary. Rich was nothing of the sort. Upon our consultation, he asked me what I was hoping to achieve and why I was there. But he wouldn’t take a superficial answer, such as to work on my arms or to get abs. That was when I realized he already knew why I was there physically, he was genuinely interested in why I was there mentally. My goal was to build my body confidence by gettting healthy and fit again. From then on, every session with Rich is filled with many jokes, laughs and always hard work. He takes his profession seriously, offering tools such as a meal guide and macro plan, starting and follow up measurements, as well as personalized motivational support as needed. Rich made me realize that health and wellness is a marathon and you must be willing to make that journey. After recently having a physical exam, my doctor stated I was in the best shape of my life and to keep doing what I’m doing. I’ve dropped 2 sizes and fit into clothes I haven’t worn in years! I thank Rich for focusing my heart and mind to achieve wellness...he’s the best out there!

Personal Training

Rich is absolutely incredible! I’ve worked with a few trainers in the past, but Rich is by far the best. He is extremely knowledgeable and he really listens to his clients. I look forward to every workout - it’s always something different, yet always challenging and super effective. He also has a awesome personality which makes our sessions fun. HIGHLY recommend!!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My rates depend on the duration of our session (30/60 minutes), how many times per week we see each other, and how long you commit to the training program. I truly want to help people reach their goals and change their lives and I don’t want cost to be a hindrance. So, I provide a variety of payment plans to accommodate everyone’s budget. When we meet for your free consultation, I will share with you all of my options so you have the ability to work with a trainer on a payment plan that fits your needs.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

For each new potential client, I offer a free one hour consultation. During this process we will discuss your goals, nutritional habits, you can view my private facility, and I can answer any questions you may have. Also, This will allow you to get to know me, my training style and to make sure that we are a good fit. It provides me a great opportunity to see what will be best for you moving forward to get the most effective results.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated with honors from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s of science degree in Kinesiology (study of human movement) and Nutrition. Certifications: 1) National Strength & Conditioning Association: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA- CSCS) 2) American College of Sports Medicine: Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM- CPT) 3) National Academy of Sports Medicine: Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM- CES) 4) National Academy of Sports Medicine: Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM- PES) 5) American Heart Association: First Aid, CPR, and AED certified.
