Just had our first lesson, but we are excited about this and happy to update more info. in the near future!
Excellent voice coach, daughter is having fun and having a good time with her lessons.
After 2 years of group lessons with little progress, we are happy we switched to private lessons with Ryan. Ryan is professional yet makes learning fun and engaging for my 7 year old son. He is also very reasonably priced. A friend recommended him to us and now seeing his teaching abilities i would recommend him as well.
I feel Jennifer and I have a great connection , we get along fabulously. She is a tremendously talented musician and singer (obviously ). Her abilities as a pianist and singer is equally matched by her ability to professionally yet pragmatically teach, mentor, tutor and guide one in the art of operatic singing. We have established goals. She is the epitome of promptness. I always look forward to my lessons with Jennifer. It is an honor to be her student . Sincerely - Dave
We had our son at School of Rock in Point Loma. That was a good school, but far away. And, the private lessons at School of Rock were too short. The focus was more on playing with the band. US Music is better. The private lessons are a full hour long. My sons drum teacher Todd comes to our house so our son gets to learn on his own acoustic set. To us that's a big plus over School of Rock. They also have bands students can join like School of Rock so students can play with others. And, they hold recitals. In the short time my son has been with US Music Lessons I have noticed a major improvement.
Our 5 year-old has improved a great deal while taking lessons with Amy. She has made it fun and has personalized her lessons to his interest and developmental stage. He now has a better posture while playing and has started to read music.
Kind, encouraging. I worked with Liz at piano Press Studio for two years and I looked forward to each lesson as an adventure. She was very kind and encouraging and helped me to sight sing music better, which was my goal.
Good first lesson
I am a previous high school music teacher, classically trained with over 21 years of musical experience and education. I love teaching music and have had great success with private students. Lessons can be held at my home, or I can travel up to 20 miles. All ages and levels are welcome. I offer lessons from 30 minutes to 60 minutes depending on the student's abilities and age and charge $1 a minute (e.g., $30 for 30 minutes). I will charge extra for travel. I am experienced in voice/singing, piano, brass, woodwinds, music theory, musicals (auditions, acting, and singing), etc. Please e-mail or call with any inquiries or interest.
I've so far only had one lesson with Theresa, but I enjoyed it greatly. She immediately put me at ease as we started the lesson, despite how nervous I was. The songs chosen were within my comfort zone while still pushing the range of my voice. I highly recommend her.
Music lessons offered: Piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, drums, conga, rock band and violin. Lessons are available in small group or private.
I'm a Suzuki trained pianist and certified up to a California merit level of 5 (music theory). I prefer to teach beginners. I also have extensive childcare experience. I have an electric piano with weighted keys available for lessons. I can also teach beginning Ukulele.
I tried two other drum teachers before my first lesson with Bernie last week. Neither of them were available when they were supposed to be; and the two lessons I did receive didn't take me very far. I just had my 2nd lesson with Bernie and have learned easily 10 times more than I did with the prior teacher.
As a former professional dancer myself, I have the ability to take your already-talented and -trained student to the next level, as well as teaching within such a structure that can take you from a beginner to an intermediate in record time. I am lucky to have had a promising career, having danced with the ABT, TBT, and Broadway Tours, as well as numerous productions with well-respected performers such as Sally Struthers, John Vaughn, Debbie Reynolds, Elizabeth Berkeley, Joe Tremaine and more. Ultimately, I turned to acting, working with top talents consistently in TV, film, and theater since. .
I have been studying voice off and on with Tricia for about 15 years, and I just can’t say enough about the quality of training I have received from Tricia. When I first came to her, I was a painfully shy introvert, with extremely low self esteem. I had no self confidence in myself or my singing. I have always loved to sing, but didn’t have that “natural talent” that some people are lucky enough to have. Tricia helped me develop (and find) my voice after a few lessons, and already had me performing in a recital not long after I started lessons with her. Tricia has taught me everything from ear training, music theory, proper placement of the voice, breathing technique and turning that horrible “warble” into a natural vibrato that is really beautiful once achieved. I have studied with Tricia over the phone, the internet via skype, and in person. She hears everything with her golden ear, and she can tell how your posture is just by the sound of your voice. Tricia also has helped me during times when my vocal cords were swollen, and when I had some small thickening of the cords. With proper repair work, and better nutrition I began seeing results immediately. I have grown so much with Tricia’s help and guidance. I joined a band a few years ago, and have been invited as a guest singer with several other bands. Tricia is a superstar in her own right, and I highly recommend Tricia for anyone who is seeking a private coach.
