Hire a day-of coordinator! I can’t stress that enough, and I’m so glad we did. As a DIY couple who wanted to do everything ourselves, we are so grateful to the friends and family who convinced us to hire a day-of coordinator. I can’t even begin to thank Reva enough for everything leading up to my partner and I’s wedding reception, and on the day of. I found Reva on Thumbtack after submitting an initial inquiry, and she was very quick to respond. For some additional context, my partner and I were less than a month away from our 75-guest wedding reception in Pacific Beach, so we were really cutting it close when we decided to hire a day-of coordinator. When I spoke to Reva to give a rundown of our wedding reception, she was calm and collected. We told her that some of our non-negotiables were that we wanted her to MC an activity we had planned, which was trivia—and she did amazing the day of! Reva also had an assistant with her the day of, who helped with loading their car with all our decorations. She set up the venue to match the inspiration pictures I sent. By the time we arrived, everything was already set up, and Reva had coordinated with the other vendors to provide guidance on where to set up. It felt like walking into a dream come true as we just tinkered with finishing touches before guests started to arrive. During the event, Reva took such good care of me and my partner. She got us food and drinks and was always nearby to check in on us and make sure we were eating and drinking. She knew I didn’t hire a videographer and asked if I wanted her to capture some moments—and I’m so glad she did! At the end of the event, when we were all drinking and partying with our friends and family, she took care of the teardown and had everything loaded up in the car.

I hired Reva to help me plan my wedding. Reva was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond what she was hired to do and what was in our contract. She made our special day stress free so we could enjoy everything. I highly recommend Reva Event to anyone who is looking for an event coordinator. I will definitely be hiring her to help me with all of my events in the future. Thank you again Reva for everything!

Reva Event, hire them. On the fence? Hire them. Trying to debate if the cost difference from one coordinator to the other is worth the spend? It is (in Reva's favor). My wedding was June 3rd, 2023 and Reva herself worked my wedding with an additional coordinator. They absolutely blew us away with not only their insight into planning but their willingness to go above and beyond. Reva's temperament is so calm and collected that she simply puts your worries at rest and allows you to let go and enjoy your day. I felt she communicated in a timely manner, offered her professional opinion if we had a hard time making a selection, and offered us alternate solutions with other vendors when issues arose a day before our wedding. I am extremely appreciative of her services and one of my groomsmen is already requesting her information for his wedding in 2024. You will not regret working with her and her company. Kaiah was also wonderful to work with too!

Reva and Michelle were honestly the best investment we made in our wedding! We started off our planning being very confident that we could do it all ourself, but when the realization set in that we couldn’t – Reva Events was there to handle day of coordination! She was very open to listening to our ideas and asking questions to help us convey what we wanted in a clear manner. She stayed in contact with us regularly throughout the planning process and offered us suggestions on décor which we hadn’t even thought of. When it came time to the day of the wedding, everyone knew what was happening from start to finish which alleviated so much stress for us as the couple! All of our décor was executed better than we could have hoped for and Reva was never far away if we needed anything! Our venue had a few hiccups with dinner service but Reva and Michelle were more than willing to work with them to resolve on our behalf! Aside from being great at what they do, they are also some of the nicest people you could work with! If you’re thinking of getting a planner or day-of-coordinator, you should definitely do it and choose Reva Events!
