What a great guy! Polite, honest, reliable, proficient and completely a pleasure to work with. And, more reasonably priced than most. John did some drywall repair and some other miscellaneous things. Then, hired him again for a few more projects and have given out his info to friends who need a handyman. I would definitely recommend John.
David and Anthony did a very good job rebuilding my balcony deck and rail and repairing my wood fence.
After stripping off plaster and lath from my hallway for a remodel, my electrian noticed a broken roof beam in the attic crawl space with a "makeshift" brace complete with a tire jack for support holding up the beam. My house was built in 1926. I also noticed a bit of bowing in another beam that needed some bracing. I knew the broken beam needed to be replaced and the bowing needed some bracing. I had 4 contractors come in to check it out and none of them seemed too enthused to tackle the job, nor did they even seem to know how to go about it without extensive damage to the outside structure except for Solomon Ka'ne of SK Fine Homes and Construction whom I found on Thumbtack. The contractors wanted to either go thourgh the roof or break open the upper wall. They were wishy washy in their approach while scratching their brow for solutions. Solomon said he could do the job by working through the existing opening in the hallway and could complete the job through the crawl space. By doing the job this way, his bid was less than half of the others. I liked his enthusiasm and positive approach to the issue so I hired him. His professionalism and end product was every bit worth the price I paid him. He was on time with his assistant Joe, had all of the materials he needed and did the job in 5 1/2 hours. I highly recommend Solomon Ka'ne and will certainly give him future referrals. Thanks Solomon for a job well done.
We have known Brendt for quiet some time and he has done various projects at our house, from building a deck to bathroom flooring roofing and some concrete work. We found Brendt to be hard working, honest, and most of all reliable and is an exceptional tradesman and we would recommend him to anyone.
We have lived in Santee for 22 years and Ron has performed numerous projects for us in the last 4 years to include; new back splash in kitchen, opened a non weight bearing wall and finished the opening to match existing walls, painted existing kitchen cabinets, installed laminate flooring, installed tile at the front entrance and hearth, converted existing fireplace from a boulder look to a more conventional style, installed new led lighting and new bathroom counter top to include the plumbing and back splash. Ron has always completed his projects on the agreed time frame. He always left the house in the same clean condition as when he entered.
I found Pat on thumbtack & so far he has installed walls, doors, tile, paint, cupboards, replaced termite damage wood, stucco, roofing & electrical. Not much he can't do as far as I can tell. Next he is pouring a cement slab for us & hooking up our new spa. He is a very conscientious worker that strives for perfection in all that he does. He is a great problem solver & fantastic at coming up with less expensive solutions for us. He is a delight to work with very eager to please us despite my high expectations. I highly recommend him!
Jason handled a major remodel of an investment property I was prepping for sale. Landscaping, exterior paint and repair, interior cabinet refacing, interior painting, new customer tile work. Great experience.
Adrian repaired siding on our home. He responded quickly to my post and came out to provide a quote right away. His quote was less than the other 2 I received and started the job quickly. As in most home repair work there were some surprises, like rotted wood that needed to be replaced, but Adrian gave us options and we agreed on pricing before moving forward. Most importantly, we are very pleased with the finished work. It looks clean and professional - we would certainly rehire Adrian for future work!
We redid our master bath and flooring in the entry way and kitchen/dining room. In the bath we removed a tub and extended the shower. In the entry way and kitchen/dining room the existing tile was removed and new flooring installed. Anselmo and his team were very professional and completed the job in a timely manner. Everything turned out beautifully and we love it!
Barry Cantrell of A+ Handyman service gets an A+++ from me. He did some replacement of rotten wood. He did an excellent job and I will have him do more work for me. he is very honest and does the work quickly with precision. I'm very happy with the work he did for me. Ralph S. in Oceanside
I hired Greg to replace a 43" piece of crown molding that was water damaged from a deck leak that was thought to have been repaired earlier. He removed the damaged section to discover the leak was never fixed and had destroyed support wood behind the wall and left black mold in that area. Instead of just patching the damaged area and replacing the molding as many would have done, he went right to the deck to get to the source of the problem. The fix was complicated, requiring creativity and a can do attitude and the experience to execute the solution. With the source of the problem eliminated, he then very expertly replaced the damaged piece. I suspect very few handy men could have accomplished this job the right way as Greg did in the shortest and least expensive way. If you need something, anything, done to full satisfaction don't hesitate to call him.
Nick replaced our master bath tile/shower surround including demo of old surround, raising shower head, replacing fixtures, adding new cement board, and adding new tile surround. We selected a classic white tile with glass inlay since that bathroom is fairly small and it would've been too much to have big tiles all the way to the ceiling. He was very easy to work with, very fair in his estimate, very clean and neat, cleaned up his mess at the end of each workday so we could still use our room, was great at brainstorming with me and flexible to adjust our design as we adjusted some minor things along the way, finished on time, and was very respectful to our family and our time as he worked in our home. I look forward to having Nick help us with other projects in the future. I highly recommend you give him a chance – – I think you will be happy you did.
