Daniel made me feel very comfortable from the very beginning. My previous dance experience was very minimal (a few classes over 25-35 years ago). Daniel has an amazing gift for teaching dance. He is very patient and good at articulating the fundamentals of the different dances. He is also very professional and utilizes every minute of the lesson. I always walk away from my lessons feeling like I improved my dancing skills, had a great time, and with a smile on my face.

Erin and James were amazing teachers! We went from knowing nothing about salsa dance to having a full song choreographed! Preparing our first dance was the most fun of the wedding planning, and our dance surprised all of our guests! We had so much fun that we want to keep taking dance classes with Erin. Erin was super flexible with our schedule and helped us come up with something that we loved and felt comfortable with. I can't recommend her enough. Thank you for the beautiful choreography, and teaching us so much!

These two wonderful people is like being taught to dance by your best friend. They both have the ability like any good coach to watch what you're doing and correct your style in a way that's relaxed and fun. They both have group classes that are spectacular. The day after you go to one of their classes you can definitely feel the difference in your dance right away. It's like they've given you something that cannot be taken away. You own it now and you can use it every time you're on the dance floor. I've taken lessons from many dance instructors in the Bay Area but both of these great instructors have unique ability to convey complicated styling and dance patterns in a relaxed and fun way. Basically you leave their class sweaty and tired but invigorated.

We just finished our first dance lesson and we are so excited with the simple yet beautiful moves we were taught. She took time to explain clearly and demonstrate everything. We have a couple of more lessons scheduled and are looking forward to them!

We had such a fun time with Marge! It was a great base for our upcoming wedding dance! We're looking forward to receiving a copy of our song from the band so that we can continue more date-night dance classes before the wedding :)

Emily helped us with our wedding first dance from teaching the basic steps to choreograph then polish our dance. The dance was a huge success. Everybody was so impressed! Emily's enthusiasm and energy is contagious, even my reluctant husband enjoyed her lessons greatly.

My girlfriend and I signed up for swing dance lessons after taking a number of group classes and feeling like we reached the limit of what we could learn alone. Eliott watched us dance briefly and already had specific suggestions for how to improve. He had a great style of explaining *why* a certain technique was going to be easier, and had concrete advice for how to improve it (e.g. instead of "your leads aren't clear enough", it was "keep your elbow closer to your side"). He was very friendly, and I felt like I had improved a ton after only a few months of weekly lessons.

My daughter was in the 8th grade wanting to try out for the high school cheerleading team. My daughter had no Dance Experience whatsoever, but she had a passion for wanting to learn to dance. She was very shy and didn't have a lot of self-confidence. She was too shy to be in a group dance class with other girls. We found Desiree and told her our goal was to get my daughter ready to try out for the high school cheerleading team which should be sometime in the summer. Upon first meeting Desiree me and my daughter were truly impressed with how passionate she was about dancing and teaching it to others. But it wasn't only just about dance it was giving girls the confidence to be comfortable with who they are. My daughter only had three weeks with Desiree before we found out that her cheerleading tryouts were actually that weekend. My daughter was supposed to try out with two of her friends but they bailed on her. My daughter said that doesn't matter I'm not going to let it stop me from trying out. My daughter went to the high school not knowing anybody in the tryouts. She told me "if it hadn't been for Desiree I would have never tried out by myself". But because of just those three short weeks 2 times a week Desiree gave my daughter the confidence and felt comfortable enough with the skills that she learned in such a short time to try out. Needless to say my daughter made the JV cheerleading team for San Mateo High School for 9th grade. Seeing the confidence and the skills that Desiree had taught my daughter is priceless to me . I definitely recommend Desiree to anybody looking for a dance instructor or private lessons for dance. If I could I'd give her 10 Stars. ~~Thank you for everything Desiree~~ Tiffany & Alexia

I've been taking classes from Yaelisa for 10 years. She teaches proper technique and emphasizes musicality and expression. She develops great choreographies and teaches improv too. She creates opportunities for performing in various settings, which is great experience. I never feel bored, it's always challenging and helping me grow!

Jessica is very patient and caters to the level of her students. We had many first time dance students and she took the time to break down all the steps. She had a positive attitude and great energy throughout the class

Training with Cat has been awesome - it's been a few classes but I'm making steady progress. Her sessions are a good mix of short routines that repeat so you build 'muscle memory' and improve as well as new routines that help keeps it interesting. And her traveling to my apt gym makes it so much easier for me to stick to an exercise routine without any excuses! Well, I can keep going... Thank you, Cat!

Larry is a patient and knowledgeable dance instructor. We were looking for private lessons in Argentine Tango and Larry was just the instructor for us. The facilities were really nice with lots of space and mirrors. We highly recommend LBJ Dance and will continue classes with Larry.

Sierra broke the dance into steps, made it easy to learn. She has grace in her dance. It wasn't like a class, very fun and had a good time learning dance from her. I highly recommend her

I have been exercising at The Works since it began as a coop about 13 years ago (and before that in its previous incarnations). The morning classes are great - by which I mean challenging, never boring, fun and always changing. We have had consistently excellent aerobics, pilates, and yoga teachers and Sarah, our manager, keeps the studio running without a hitch. The atmosphere is upbeat, encouraging and friendly. It is a beautiful, airy, clean, well-lighted place to workout and dance. I can't recommend it enough - both to potential exercisers, dancers and to renters. Come and try it out!
