I’ve got a great contractor who lives in San Francisco and does everything inside and outside a house. His name is Rauf Ibragimov, and after three jobs he’s done for me I’m convinced he meets all the criteria for excellence which actually I never expected from anyone. Rauf was first hired by my neighbor in Westwood Park to build a wooden fence for us to separate our backyards but not look like a wall. The second time was when I called him months later to repair a redwood stairway descending from the back of our second floor to the backyard in my other house in the Sunset. He was outstanding! And when we just started the rainstorms two weeks ago he came to find and repair a leak that was coming through an exterior wall in Golden Gates Heights.
Rauf is professional, always giving a specific time of arrival and always coming exactly on time. He thinks before he speaks and speaks before he acts, making sure I understand everything he intends to do before he does it. When he did the first job he gave my neighbor a very reasonable estimate, less than two others we got. And just before he began the work I asked for a more beautifully designed fence and I would cover the difference. Not only did he oblige with no complaints or rolling of the eyes, but the increased charge was minimal and still stayed well below the total of the other estimates.
With the stairway in the Sunset he did an immediate emergency repair the day I called him using his own materials, when he had just come to look at it so that my tenant could descend to the backyard with no delay. He never charged me for that and refused my offer to reimburse him for his materials or his time. The steps and two stringers were rotted out because the original stairs were constructed with nails that allowed water to seep in over the years. He sent me to the lumberyard directly to save me the cost of transportation and they even gave me the contractors discount. Everything he did was finished beautifully, on time, and at the price he had quoted. In addition he was always very personable and I was impressed with the way he treated the two assistance he had coming to assist him in the biggest of the three jobs.

IBR construction is still working on my deck. However even today I can see very good quality of the work. Experience and knowledge allow IBR to work efficient in terms of cost and time. I would recommend IBR construction.

We found Rauf and team as a subcontractor when working on our home remodel. Our experience with the overall project was stressful at best but Rauf stood out so we reached out to him for additional work afterwards. He continued to be incredibly professional, prompt in his response, and open about our different options.

I trust Rauf. He is always there, ALWAYS responsive, and always honest. Very professional. I wish I had hired him as the general contractor when I had a lot of work to do on my home, instead of him being the subcontractor under someone else. Ultimately, I ended up having Rauf fix the things that came out of the job instead of asking the general contractor to work on it.
