Forrest was a great teacher. Unfortunately, we had to end lessons do to confusion with work, however my time spent with him instilled good guitar habits in the even that I continue to pursue guitar!Jun 22, 2014
I watched Forrest grow up playing guitar on his porch across the street from my house. I remember how beautiful his music was, and how much he inspired me to want to play, so I went to the store and purchased a guitar and some instructional tapes, and books, and had a go at learning on my own. I found that self teaching was rather ineffective, so I decided to look for a teacher. The first person who came to mind was Forrest. Turns out he had been teaching guitar for 2 years at that point and was more than willing to take me under his wing! What turned into a few months of going over fundamental chords, turned into four years of lessons! He is the sweetest boy, with the biggest heart.Jan 31, 2014
Forrest was a pleasure to work with. He was clear in his direction and was great about laying out some acheiveable goals for me on the guitar. I would recommend him if you are looking to increase your technical aptitude and knowledge of guitar.Feb 18, 2018Verified
To be honest, I was intimidated by Forrest at first. Seeing that some half my age is teaching shocked me, and I immediately thought I would need to get a guitar teacher that had more experience. That would have been a huge mistake! Forrest is incredibly professional. Always on time, always prepared with materials, and always patient and supportive. 5 stars.Aug 22, 2014
Forrest is a great teacher! I have been taking lessons for about two months now, and I am making much more progress than I was on my own. I suggest Forrest highly. He seemed very experienced with beginners with no experience.Aug 22, 2014
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I am willing to negotiate prices for customers who want to pay for multiple lessons in advance.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am currently enrolled in school, majoring in music.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I had a very difficult time finding a compassionate guitar teacher when I was younger. In fact, I never found one because many of them were not supportive enough to make me want to learn music. This motivated me to want to become the guitar teacher I had always wanted.
