FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
IMy regular rates are: • The initial conversation, lasting from 10—15 minutes is free. • The intake session (talk only) lasts for one hour and my fee for that is $80. • Hypnotherapy sessions typically last from 75 up to 90 minutes and my fee for that is $130. • I do require advance payment for video conferencing sessions. This also secures your appointment. • I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. • Payments are made through Square or Pay Pal. • Video conferencing is done via Zoom. I reserve a portion of my practice for people who can’t afford full fee. I call it my “low fee clinic” and my intention in offering this option is to provide hypnotherapy sessions to underserved individuals and communities. My low fee clinic rates are: • One-hour intake session (talk only): $50. • Hypnotherapy sessions, lasting from 75 up to 90 minutes: $70. • Other info: I am not currently able to accept insurance as a payment option.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our initial phone conversation is free and lasts about 10—15 minutes. During our talk we discuss what you're looking for and whether or not what I offer as a hypnotherapist is in alignment with that. Assuming we move forward, the next step is an intake session. This online or telephone talk session lasts an hour. It is a chance for me to learn more about you and do a more thorough assessment as well as for me to answer any questions you may have about the way I work. After that, it is pretty individual, based on your need and what we establish you are hoping to accomplish. We don't move forward with the trance work (hypnotherapy) until you're ready and comfortable. Creating a foundation of trust and readiness before moving into the actual hypnosis is key.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my certification as a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CCHT) in 2014 at the HCH Institute located in Layfayette, CA, and have also completed advanced training in Past Life Regression (from the same Institute.) I incorporate chakra work, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) as complementary tools to hypnotherapy, or as modalities in themselves. Being well versed in 12-Step work I offer a deeper understanding of those program tools in conjunction with hypnotherapy for clients needing support to maintain their sobriety. I have been an educator and sex-positive advocate for 43 years and an active member of the sex-positive community in San Francisco. Additionally, I have taught multiple classes in various aspects of human sexuality, its variants, and have been a guest instructor/presenter at San Francisco State University. Currently, I am part of a teaching team offering a series of classes in San Francisco called “Navigating Consent”, the brainchild of psychotherapist and author, Dossie Easton.
