David has been working for us for two weeks and is doing a very good job. He has put in garage stairs, sheet rock repair, molding around doors and rehanging doors that stick. He arrives on time and goes right to work. It is hard finding a "universal" handyman and I certainly would recommend David. We will continue to use him as we have other projects.
Chris did an outstanding job with the deck . He loves what he is doing and it shows in his work - wouldn't hesitate for a second to hire him.
Conn recently built a custom railing for our interior stairs. He was meticulous and easy to work with - his work is impeccable and rates are reasonable. Highly recommend.
I actually didn't have the pleasure of doing business with Claremont sheet metal . I am posting this because although his company did not fabricate and weld S.S metal, he took the time to post about 3 to 4 referrals of company's that could help me. And who he thought was the better company suited toward my needs. To me that is Professionalism. Thanks again
Kris responded promptly to my project request. And even though we decided to move forward with a wooden retaining wall, instead of a concrete wall, he offered great advice on how to improve the waterproofing and longevity of the wood wall. I appreciate his professionalism and wouldn’t hesitate to contact Kris for future home improvement projects.
Alex was great! We hired him to do the floor tiles in our bathroom. When that went great, he said he could do the backsplash in our kitchen. Both jobs were timely and turned out super. Next we needed help with the stairs for our back deck. Alex took on the job and also finished building out the deck, stairs and railing. He delivered on time and within budget -- two things that aren't easy to come by. We highly recommend working with Alex.
Dustin was great. He took the CAD drawings I created and turned them into reality very quickly (1 week turnaround). I now have 4 box-frame metal legs for the table I was building.
Edwin did a magnificent job for me. He fixed our stair railing, garage door, installed a new garbage disposal and installed our new double Bosch Oven which needed the cabinet to be strengthened and redone. Overall could not be happier with the quality of the work he did. On time and on budget.
Lewis did a fantastic job in modifying our counter tops and cabinets to install a farm sink in our kitchen. The install took some creative thinking, and a lot of patience. Lewis didn't rush to compromise the job and the final product is beautiful.
I hired Marc to fix a frameless glass shower door that had slipped over time. This is a very heavy glass door that was very difficult for me to fix on my own. I tried and failed. Then I called Marc. He got in touch with me promptly and quoted me for one hour of work ($80) to fix the door. It actually took him a little longer, so he asked for $120, which I thought was fair, considering my door is larger than average and harder to fix. He worked hard, was knowledgable, and personable. $80/hour is a bit steep, but I'd probably still hire Marc for future handy work around the house. I recommend you give him a call if you need something fixed.
Just finished an exterior stairs buildout with Fred. Hillside house, with about a 25 feet drop. Fred is busy and it's easy to see why. He built an expansive, solid set of stairs with 3 platforms/landings. They look very nice. Fred is also easy to work with, and even though we miscommunicated initially, we were able to reset expectations and it worked out well. Highly recommended.
I can enthusiastically recommend Steve Chui and his company, Kinetic Construction. My wife and I hired Steve to undertake a partial kitchen remodel that involved destroying existing tile so a new countertop could be laid, installing a backsplash, electrical, plumbing, painting and assorted other elements. Steve and his crew were great. First of all, Steve came in with a very fair bid and as we went through the process, there were no surprises. We were very pleased that the only change orders that came up were all items that we decided to add, and in all cases, the price Steve quoted was very fair. Steve was very focused and always one step ahead of the process. He identified issues early, getting our decision, solving small and large items that came up. He made some excellent recommendations along the way that improved the final outcome. The quality of the workmanship was very high. Our backsplash was complex, involving glass tiles inside ceramic tiles. The workmanship and attention to detail of his crew were amazing. It was the same with the painting and every other detailvery precise and careful. He and his crew also coordinated easily with the countertop layers, the stove installers and all the other folks who were in and out through the process. The end results were beautiful and we were thrilled with the final product. We know we could have paid a lot more but doubt we could have gotten a better kitchen. The logistics as we went through the remodel were also surprisingly easy. The workers were there when we were told they would be there. They were neat, quiet, and cleaned up every evening. Steve was always available, whether or not he was on site. He was always straightforward and easy to deal with. We always knew exactly what was happening. The whole experience was all much less stressful than we had anticipated. Our entire experience with Kinetic Construction was very favorable and we would highly recommend the company to others. We have since used Steve for a number of other smaller jobs, both electrical, plumbing and painting. It is always a pleasure. His team is always precise and neat, always on time. And Steve is very responsive. Once when we had a plumbing emergency with our disposal, he rushed over on a Saturday night and saved the day. But the best part is that Steve is such a smart and resourceful guy. He always comes up with the easiest, most efficient and thus most cost effective way to get you the result you are looking for and always with an end result of the highest standard. We are big fans!
Sam showed up on time at my house, with pre-fabricated metal that I had specified. Very friendly and professional, great attitude, and easily performed the trailer welding, and took on some additional projects I had without issue. He cleaned up and used his time efficiently. I will use him again for other projects.
