I trained with Stephen Chun to prep for a Spartan Race in July of 2015.  It turned out to be one of the best fitness experiences I've had.  I cannot sing Stephen's praises enough.  First, the physical training pushed me beyond what i ever thought I could do and toned and defined my muscles in just six weeks.  I hard arm and leg definition I had never seen before and I've been a runner and have done a couple of olympic distance triathlons.  He helped me to conquer fears and doubts as I trained for the Spartan Race.   In addition, he was so careful to make sure I didn't get injured.  We did table work that helped to release muscle tension and when I had to take a week off because of a psoas injury he helped put me back together and helped me get stronger.  The best part about working with Stephen is who he is as a person. He started as my trainer but became an incredible friend.  Both he and he fiance  made me a care package the night before my race and showed up to cheer me on at the Spartan Race.  Not only do I have the best trainer ever but I have a friend for life in Stephen.  I highly recommend him.

He is very in-tuned and observant on how my body moves and react to the exercises he prescribes. He adjusts the level of intensity accordingly. He's focused during training sessions but yet knows when to chat and loosen up the intense environment with a good giggle and laugh. I enjoy the variations he introduces as part of my training plan, this way it doesn't make sessions boring and mundane. Encouragement and praise in the form of verbal and a high-five hand slap is very motivating. And after seen my body starting to tone and becomes stronger and of course loosing weight is definitely a huge plus in my books. What a great refreshing experience thus far working with my trainer.

Stephen definitely helped me and challenged my physical condition. I used to play rec sports and considered myself somewhat active but you know that office job can suck your inner athlete away before you know it. I work a 9-5er and sit at my desk for a good portion of the day. I've reconditioned my posture and pain due to hours of typing and clicking the mouse to something more manageable. At work, I've changed my desk habits with exercises without looking like a fool and gained endurance from training exercises. For the value of what Stephen charges, I'm beyond satisfied. I'll be training with him for my future competitions. Oh, and I achieved my weight loss goal within the timeframe - just make sure it's achievable and you do your part. There's no sense in eating poorly and "working out" when you can do that on your own - he kept me accountable.
