My personal trainer, Jamie, was very nice and personable. She was also knowledgeable about each workout and offered helpful advice. The gym in Mission Bay is great as well.Nov 6, 2017Verified
About this pro
My work stands out from others because: 1) I have 11 years experience coaching clients on their nutrition programs and I will consult with Registered Dietitians as needed to ensure my clients are seeing results. 2) I listen to each of my clients goals and create a fitness and training program based on what they would like to accomplish while incorporating corrective exercises into the routine (as appropriate). 3) I have a knack for coaching clients to implement behavioral changes to their training and nutrition programs, so that it doesn't seem too overwhelming. 4) I have worked in many different Physical Therapy clinics so approaching injuries and working in partnership with clients health providers is second nature to me. 5) Being an Exercise Physiologist, I follow the guidelines set by the American College of Sports Medicine which ensure that all of my clients are evaluated prior to training. 6) I have run over 5 fitness centers in San Francisco so I am current on all fitness trends and training styles. 7) I don't judge anyone and I enjoy working with people who are just starting to exercise. 8) I have personally gained over 15 pounds of muscle while decreasing my percent body fat, and I have lost at least 15 pounds. 9) I have experience as an athlete (crossfit, swimming, running, track, volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse).

Q & A
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have always been interested in the human body and how it functions since I was young kid. In college, I studied Exercise Physiology and began doing research in the field, which led me to my interest in personal training. I have many years experience working hands-on in the medical field, from Physical Therapy to Mental Health. This direct experience has inspired me to look at the person I'm working with from all angles, including the training side and how to implement small changes in order to make them habits.
