Introduction: Interested in unlocking your body's full potential? We offer one on one customized virtual training. Our mission is to empower people to get stronger, increase their body confidence, get out of pain and keep them doing the things they love to do. Pali Ke Kua Wellness exists to train you from the comfort of your home. We specialize in working with middle aged men and women. We understand there are many changes in the body around this age from more joint pain, to high cholesterol, to excess weight gain, to irregular sleep patterns, to no energy, etc. We are here to help! We will work with your physical therapist, doctors and naturopaths to make sure we are working towards the same goal of bringing you to optimal health. We will not only help you get stronger, but along the way, you will learn sustainable habits to optimize your health through movement, nutrition and regeneration.

Personal Training

When I decided to look for a trainer to work with during my extended work from home timeline, I was looking for four things: 1. Someone with physical therapist-like knowledge of methods to improve joint mobility 2. A practical approach to long term fitness /strength training after 40 3. A person would feel accountable to, that is warm and relatable in their efforts to support me in reaching my personal goals 4. A program to get my body strong for stand-up paddling and kayaking this summer I signed up for the starter package (two 1 hr sessions per week for 3 months). My experience working with Alyssa has far exceeded my expectations. In just 3 months, I have learned how to use valuable tools like C.A.R.S. which are end-range joint circle exercises that allow me to maintain articular health, improve control, and serve as an assessment tool for my joint health. As a result I've seen dramatic improvements in my posture, and a noticeable increase in the active range of my hips and back. I am now hooked on hard-style kettlebell training - confidently swinging a 35 lb bell! Something I never saw myself doing. This efficient and effect training routine has helped me quickly build lean muscle in my legs and core. Right on target for what I was looking for with strength training. It only takes 30 mins, its fun and it works fast! Now we are focused on shoulder and arm strength as I aim to be out on the water a lot this summer. Alyssa is always going to new classes or training sessions (virtual of course during COIVD) to improve her skills and knowledge. Every month I benefit from that because I in turn learn new joint health and mobility building blocks to add to my own knowledge. Alyssa is fun to talk with and tells great stories without getting too wrapped up in chatting. She pushes me with out punishing my body like other trainers have. I have already referred a friend. You won't be disappointed.

Alyssa has been a great personal trainer and I am grateful for her commitment to helping me feel my best. She doesn’t just solely focus on getting you fit, but also your all around health including posture, sleep, diet and overall well-being. Alyssa helped me look and feel great for my wedding and adjusts my program based on my needs and wants. Personal Training

I started working with Megan and Alyssa in February 2021 with a goal to build on some recent weight loss after my last pregnancy by getting stronger, after months of lockdown and being pretty sedentary. I’ve just started on the alumni program after the initial 3 month regimen because I got such great results: I went from barely being able to lift the 12 kg kettlebell and completely unable to do a push up to routinely lifting a 16kg weight and being very close to being able to do a full push up without feeling like it’s a big effort. That’s amazing progress in a really short time! I also feel very supported in the process with regular check ins and customized programs where there’s lots of challenge and variety. Highly recommend!!

I’ve been working out with Alyssa for about 2 years. She’s been a great encouragement and motivator. Always flexible with workout routines to incorporate whatever is happening in my life and whatever muscles happen to be sore or tight that day. Remote training has been really great to have through covid and is now my new long term plan for fitness. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new trainer.

    Package Pricing: $3000 for our Huli Package 12 week program

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    FRC (functional range conditioning): joint mobility training to improve your overall body control and joint function at a cellular level Strong First Girya Instructor: This is a specific type of kettlebell training known as “hard style” originated with a special ops military unit. Under my instruction, clients will see an improvement in their grip strength, range of motion, core strength, tall posture, and increased overall tone to the body. Strong First Bodyweight Instructor: This certification enables me to help clients stay fit and strong with minimal equipment, whether at home or traveling. Learn the push-up, one arm one leg push-up, tactical pull-up, handstand, handstand push-up, and pistol squats to name a few. Animal Flow: Instruction includes wrist mobilization, isometric holds, form specific stretches, metabolic conditioning and dynamic multi-planar movement. I usually incorporate this movement for parents with young children or soon to be parents. It is a fun, playful way of working out and it also is injury preventative when we are trying to keep up with our growing kids.
