FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee reflects the typical rate for therapy in San Francisco. I do not belong to any insurance panels but can provide a detailed bill for clients to seek reimbursement via out-of-network coverage.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With each new client I customize treatment to meet your specific goals. To start, we have a 15-minute phone consultation so that I can get a sense of what you would like to address. Next, I ask you to complete a brief assessment so that I can hit the ground running in our first session. At the first session, you will tell me something about what brings you to therapy and I will be trying to understand: 1) What have you come to therapy to accomplish? 2) What conscious and unconscious beliefs might be standing in your way? 3) What past/current experiences might have led to these beliefs? 4) How can we work together so that you can disconfirm your beliefs from step 2? That's a lot of information about how the sausage is made. Suffice it to say, that you should have the experience of feeling understood and supported in living the way you most want.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
