About
You have good reasons to consider therapy. If we work together, I put those reasons at the center of everything we do. You may want to reduce a troubling symptom like anxiety or depression. Or, maybe you know you could do or be more but just can't. I work hard to help you figure out what holds you back from how you want to live. You will feel supported in doing things that are good for you but have always felt forbidden. Examples include: trusting your gut, expressing disagreement, putting your needs first, and feeling entitled to success. Along the way, symptoms such as anxiety and depression tend to fade away. I consider myself an advocate for your best possible version of yourself. Successful therapy happens when you really know you can fully be yourself. I have always been interested in the study of the human mind. I majored in psychology at the University of Pennsylvania then entered a clinical psychology program at Penn State to complete my master's degree. For various reasons, I decided to go into the corporate world and developed a career as a data scientist. All the while, I felt called to return to the field of psychotherapy and in the past five years obtained my licensure in the state of California. I feel very fortunate to now be able to helpfully connect with clients while learning about and employing the most current theory and research in our work.

Jay is very committed to what he does. As a former colleague of Jay's, I found him to be extremely perceptive and open to talk to. He brings humour to the conversation; whilst still staying on the message and will challenge you to think about new ways to better your life. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a therapist or going through a rough patch.

I've known Jay for about 6 years and highly recommend him if you're looking for a therapist. He's genuine, insightful, and always asks just the right questions to get to the heart of things. He's able to make you feel he's on your side, even while challenging you to push your limits and think outside your comfort zone.

I've worked with Jay as a colleague and he is a talented therapist whose passion shows through his work. He's easy-going and humorous but also insightful so that he cuts right to the heart of the matter. If you're looking for a great therapist, I highly recommend Jay!

I've known Jay for three years and have found him to be incredibly easy to talk to. He really helps people come to believe in themselves. He listens very carefully and challenges clients' beliefs that don't work for them, while advocating for new ways of thinking and acting that help them live the lives they want. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a therapist.
