I bought myself a guitar for my birthday a year ago and realized I needed some outside motivation to play it. While I'm relatively new to guitar and this is my first time taking guitar lessons, I have been drumming for 13 years with private instruction and university courses. I would highly recommend Ahmad. He is inspiring, professional, informative, and patient; a shining example of what a great teacher should be. Over the past five months, I've already seen significant improvement in both my guitar performance as well as my understanding of the guitar and music in general. Ahmad is very good at balancing the scale between creativity and technique, while never losing sight of what your goals are as a student. As with any learning process, I would suggest you understand your own goals and level of commitment before jumping in to lessons. As I've seen, Ahmad will probably motivate you to practice more than you originally thought, which I really appreciate. Specifically I knew I had issues with barre chords. So I searched for someone online who could assist me with playing barre chords. I was connected with Ryder Green. Ryder has been an awesome instructor. He has been patient with me and gives me as much information as needed to continually push me to increase my knowledge in playing the guitar. He does not overwhelm one with music theory although addresses such topics with ease when needed. He gives you as much information as needed and is always open to questions. Overall, I am very satisfied with his instruction and count myself lucky to have found him. Oh and yes I now can play barre chords. Thanks Ryder."See more

As an example, although he is classically trained, I didn't want to take the classical approach, so I'm learning guitar through pop music. He is encouraging, gives thoughtful response to all my questions, and peppers in bits of music theory in each lesson.
