Don called me immediately. He showed up the day he said he would. His staff was very hardworking. He finished on time. He offered to pick up and install new plants. I plan to use this business for routine maintenance in the future.

I hired Don to make irrigation work in the backyard - I needed to drain water from the lawn to the street in the front of the house and installing about 460 Sq. Ft. of new grass. I had several quotes for this job, the highest (from highly rated Yelp person) to be almost $7,000 including installation of French drain all the way. The lowest was about $2800, also with French drain, but it would not bring the water to the street, only to the basin in the middle of the lawn.
Don answered my call very quickly and arrived to make estimate at the time he promised, a day later. At first, he spotted a few problems with sprinklers, which he suggested that I need to fix. Initially, I thought that he would try to add all kinds of extra goodies to the work to make it more expensive. However, after thoroughly reviewing the backyard and the side of the house, he suggested his solution - no French drain, just un-perforated pipe collecting water from gratings at the edge of the lawns and downspouts the from roof and moving it to the street. The whole thing was for about $2300, including fixing the sprinklers. I agreed, and he completed the job in two days. The new grass looks beautiful, and the drain seems to be working, which I only was able to test with sprinklers water, because there were no strong rains since then. The trenches were filled and the area looks undisturbed, as it supposed to be.
I have to say that I was there when they were finishing the work, and had to insist to put grating on the lower part of the pipe slightly higher on the bricks to eliminate puddle. They had to redo it several times until I was satisfied. Without me they wouldn't do it, but with me staying there they just did what I asked, without arguing, spending an extra 30 minutes to to do it as I wanted.

If you are looking for a showplace garden at a reasonable price - look no further. I found Don of Saratoga Gardening on Thumbtack.com. He guided me every step, listened to me and went above and beyond for me. Every plant was perfectly placed and his knowledge is outstanding. In a matter of days I had the garden that I love.

We had an overwhelming amount of leaves covering every area of the property. Don came by promptly and looked at work required and gave me a bid. He came by when I asked and the work was done as I wanted.

Don Bright is a great guy to work with. He showed up on time, priced the project competitively, and had his crew do the work efficiently, on time and with excellent quality. He replaced about 25 feet of fencing that was falling down and missing boards with new, board on board. When I "get rich", I'll have him do the rest of my fencing. :-)
