Arisel painted two walls in my living room with vaulted ceilings. He also wall mounted a 70" TV and ran the cabling thru the wall. What I was most impressed with was his responsiveness. He immediately replied to my Thumbtack inquiry and started the next day. We kept in contact throughout the project via text as he worked with my schedule. The walls look great! I'm very happy with the experience and plan to call on Arisel again for other items in the house that need fixing.
Jasper did a great job with installing floating shelves in our kitchen and living room. They look like they were intentionally built into the house and fit snugly against the walls and fireplace.
Tony Gonzalez and his crew were the best I could have asked for!! Super friendly creative and professional , very honest on the time ,cost and labor estimat . beautiful fence design and very very solid built since I live in an area with very strong winds. Tony choose the most beautiful redwood materials and did an amazing job! I'm very happy and most defenatly will recommend his to my friend family and clients since I'm a designer , will love to hire him and his crew again for my future projects! Highly recommended , you can call me if you have any questions regarding his work. Thank you!
Right in time for New Years! I have a whole new kitchen, dining and living room, 2 remodeled bathrooms and a whole new backyard with a new deck, huge hot tub, and pergola. Eli and his team worked day after day and extremely hard to complete this project in the time I wanted. They did everything professionally and made my dreams come true. They took care of everything. I did not need to do anything at all, which is perfect because I wanted a company that would take care of everything. From the day I signed the contract, I knew what was going to happen weekly and always felt comfortable asking Eli or calling up the office to have any questions answered. I was never turned down or made to feel like I was being problematic (which I am sure I was!) but everyone there continued to impress me day by day with how thoughtful, kind, and clean they were. I really believe in life you get what you pay for, and with Eli and GMBC Construction, I paid and got much more then I actually paid for. The experience, and now the finished product is just fantastic. Thank you, thank you to everyone at GMBC Construction!
Justin mounted a large 65" TV for us in our family room. He was on time, reliable, knowledgeable, and very detailed oriented. He was able to complete the project with no issues. We will call Brian again for other projects that we have coming up. I recommend Brian if you want to hire an experienced, honest professional. He will be back to do more for us. His prices are very reasonable. We did paid Brian more than what he quoted us for his work, because it entailed extra things and he was very flexible with helping us out. Brian did an excellent job!!!

We hired Lifetime Remodeling in the summer of 2017 to do a first floor addition to our home in Millbrae. The project involved adding 400 square feet to our house, which included expanding the living room and adding a new bedroom and a new bathroom. It was wonderful working with Sam and his team at every step of the way. Their bid was very competitive compared to the many others I got, and the estimated time for completion (about four months) was much shorter than most of the other quotes. Lifetime's responsive customer service and attention to detail made our lives so much easier. Here are just a few examples of things they did to minimize our stress. When strong winds blew the construction fence over during off hours, they came out here quickly to get it back up and weigh it down with sandbags. When it came time to block off the parts of the house being demolished, they helped us move furniture and cover it carefully so that it would not get damaged or dirty during construction. When they needed to move the wiring for our internet access, they made sure to reconnect it promptly. The temporary wall they built was very sturdy and effective at blocking out dust, so we had no problem continuing to live in the house throughout the construction. Sam also closely inspected all the work and often caught adjustments to be made that I did not notice. For example, even though the interior painting looked fine to me, Sam decided that he wanted another coat. When we did point out other things that needed adjusting, such as leveling out certain fixtures, the team promptly fixed them. When I asked for a different design for our recessed lighting at the last minute, even after some of them had already been installed, Sam accommodated the request. Sam checked in with me often, so I always felt well informed about the next steps coming up and what I needed to plan for. This was awesome because I learned that it can be agonizing to pick out tiles, hardwood, hardware, etc. for a project like this, especially for someone like me doing it for the first time. It was also helpful to have Sam's recommendations for suppliers for the finishes and fixtures. We were really impressed that Lifetime finished the project pretty much right on schedule and with absolutely no cost overruns. To make this happen, most days, Lifetime had a team of two to four workers here by 8 a.m., and they worked steadily for the entire day. They also often worked on weekends. After Lifetime finished the addition to the house, we ended up also hiring them to do landscaping for our front yard and replacing our concrete driveway with paver stones. They also did a great job on this, and we are so happy with and amazed by how our house looks now. Remodeling inevitably involves many hard decisions and a lot of time, energy, and money invested by the homeowner! The last thing you need is a contractor who adds unnecessary stress, yet it seemed like everyone I talked to had horror stories about their contractors. We are so grateful that Sam and Lifetime made it a wonderful experience for us.
I used J.A. Services in two occasions. On the first, they furnished my SOMA tri-level loft as a furnished rental unit, and on the other occasion, they staged my loft for a sale. J.A. Services not only met my key requirements but also exceeded my expectations on both occasions. My key requirements were as follows. For the rental, I wanted a modern and comfortable living environment with inexpensive furniture that did not look cheap. For the staging, I sought to maximize the value received in the sale. For both, J.A. Services exceeded my requirements. J.A. Services also completed their work on a very tight schedule, allowing me to market my unit quickly. I very much appreciated J.A. Services and their excellent eye for designing contemporary, urban, and comfortable living environments.
I had Cesar install a surround sound speaker system in our living room, as well as a ceiling fan. He and his assistant did a great job. Looking forward to using him again.
Peter did a very nice job installing shelves in my linen closet and laundry room. I appreciated that he took the time to come out to my house beforehand to give me an accurate quote for the project, and then he purchased all of the materials for me so I didn’t have to go out and buy them myself. He was also very polite and courteous throughout the entire process.
I was having problems with my shower and asked around the local nursery moms for a plumber. Someone recommended the company Lemon Remodeling and Services. Several days after meeting with Assaf, one of their project managers, without feeling any sense of pressure, we had come together to redesign the whole bathroom. I still love it today! I have two young boys and so I didn’t have the time to fuss and look at design magazines or shop around for suppliers: all I knew was that I wanted something modern with clean lines that was functional and would still work within the designs of our period house. He had gained my trust so I gave him the go ahead to source the best quality products at the best prices. I saw he has experience so I didn’t question his judgment, suppliers or prices even once. All the sub-contractors he used for things such as plumbing and flooring were a delight, and I still use them to this day. Assaf himself was charming, trustworthy, talented and very creative. He was extremely conscientious, and left no stone unturned. He had super ideas and was very au fait with all the modern changes in the bathroom design industry. The bathroom continues to function efficiently since Assaf put it in place, and looks beautiful. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Lemon Remodeling and Services.
Chris did an excellent job helping me remodel my home, including kitchen, bathrooms, bedroom and living room. During the process he took great care of everything as well as gave me great advices. The whole remodeling process is a joy to me. I would definitely recommend Chris to everyone I know and would like to hire him again in the future for other projects!
I had tile installed in my bathroom and laundry room. I have had many compliments on how beautiful it is.
I had several estimates on renovation work needed in my newly purchased fixer up home. I needed two bathrooms renovated, a new kitchen, and new paint in the entirety of my home. Jay from Green Planet Construction struck me as extremely open and professional from our first meeting. As someone who is not very "handy," it took a bit of explaining for me to understand the details of the extent of the work that needed to be done, why some things may or may not need to be done, and all the options in the middle. Jay was very patient with me, and easily accommodated my requests, changes of mind, and was able to come up with creative solutions to some of the issues my century old house presented at each stage of the renovation. From the installation of new kitchen cabinets, a full demo and creation of a master bathroom requiring lots of tile work, installing appliances, and hoisting my new huge kitchen refrigerator through a kitchen island opening because it wouldn’t fit through the door, Green Planet was thorough and performed outstanding work. Never before have I been so impressed with a general contractor who provided true quality work for such a reasonable price, and all the while helping me make informed decisions rather than dictating the plan. I will likely have my family room remodeled in the near future, and I plan on keeping Jay at Green Planet Construction on the top of my list.
We engaged Refresh and Build to help us completely remodel a bathroom and open up one of our living spaces by removing a wall. Not having a lot of experience with remodels, I was pleasantly surprised with how easy the whole process was. It has always been my dream to have a clawfoot tub, and Refresh was able to reconfigure our bathroom to make it happen. We had most of the finished materials selected, but we’re stuck on the last couple items so Sam, our project manager, made a few suggestions which turned out great. I hadn’t even considered a wall mounted faucet until he suggested it, and now can’t imagine the room without it! The crew was super friendly, clean, and most importantly, very skilled. Sam was very responsive to all of our questions, and really made the process much more stress-free. We couldn’t be happier with the end result!
Great experience using Chris and Hanus at IKB. They are very thoughtful in their approach and work within your budget. They will be very up front with you if you have unrealistic expectations on timeline and cost and give you good alternate options. I LOVED their crew too. The crew are great craftsmen who care about their work. They did a Master Bedroom/Bathroom remodel, repainted my entire upstairs, updated all of the houses door hardware, replaced windows and the front door. Very CLEAN as well which is important when you are still living in the house. All around a great experience!
HQC did my laminated floors in all the living area throughout my house and renovated one bathroom. They were affordable and I am very pleased. I highly recommend them.
Worked with Teddy and Ana on our apartment and they really did a fantastic job at a very reasonable rate. There aren't many designers who can get work done with a 2K budget. Ana was a color expert and explained how different lighting would change the hue of certain colors. We were afraid of dark colors but are so happy with the color she helped us pick out. Teddy really helped us reuse our existing furniture and added a few new things that made the space feel entirely new. Their team also came in and did the furniture assembly, painting, and lighting installation. We liked that we could pay online and the entire process was so easy. Great communication. If you're looking for a no nonsense experience with a great result definitely give them a call.
We moved into a new house and needed a fence installed to keep our dog in the backyard. It needed to be tall and span a wide space. In addition, it couldn't have a standard hole-in-ground posts because of the location. Joe Aguilar built a fence that will hold up to constant use and is a work of art. The sturdiness is the result of every corner being mitered and screwed in from two directions, the reinforcement of both the front and back of the gate, the extra large custom-built hinges and latches to support the heavy weight/width of the fence and the wood over metal posts. The artwork is the beautiful attention to detail he put into the wood surrounding the posts, the post caps, the weathering and stain he applied to the hinges so they wouldn't just be silver, and the various trim pieces he added that provided both strength and design detail. I told him the fence at my previous house was always coming apart and constantly needed the boards or latch re-attached. This won't be the case with this fence. Joe's fence is fall superior in quality and strength to what I had before. Is this the least expensive fence I could have gotten? No, but I had to live with the least expensive quote at my last house for years and I won't make that mistake again. Joe's fence is a great value and the price was more than reasonable for the amount of craftsmanship he put into it. On the "soft side", Joe is easy to reach and communicate with, kept me informed on status, explained various options to when we were deciding on the location/design and he cleaned up the work area every day before he left. He did such an excellent job, I've just hired him for another project.
I worked with Max on removing existing single closet door and expanding the closet entry for our baby room. I truly enjoyed working with Max. He was very professional, responsive, and set the expectation clear so we know what work is involved and what to expect in terms of the price etc. We are very satisfied with the result and would definitely work with him again for future projects.
John has worked at our home to from tearing out old carpets and placing laminate flooring throughout our living room and kitchen, to remodeling the fireplace with tile and giving it a unique style. He is very efficient, professional and a hard worker. John made sure that we were satisfied with the job and materials used and talked us through everything so we were aware of final product. I would highly recommend John for any home improvements or simply mounting our television (he did that as well).
