Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: The Hunter School of Music was created after I couldn't take on any more students teaching out of my home. I wanted to expand to reach more people interested in learning piano and so my colleague moved here to work with me. We then found an excellent guitar, mandolin, and ukulele instructor who is able to teach various styles of music. In addition to the weekly lesson we wanted music to be more social and exciting for the students. We offer events and activities at The Hunter School of Music to make it more than just a weekly lesson. Free monthly group classes, 'field trips' to local concerts and music exhibits, and performance opportunities as well as encouraging students to play duets together. I believe our music school stands out because you are being instucted by musicians who have 15-30 years experience, advanced degrees in music yet we are flexible, curious about your interests, and strive to make music an enjoyable part of your life. I love working with people and sharing what's most important in my life, music. I was raised by supportive parents who loved many genres of music, as I do, and it was always very much a part of my life. It makes me excited to share this with others and I feel music is especially important for children to experience. I feel very fortunate that my 'job' is also my passion.

About a 2 years ago I decided to take piano lessons as an adult for the first time. I did a lot of searching online for the best fit. I found that Amy Hunter Piano School had very reasonable pricing and was a good fit for a more personalized lesson structure. I am extremely happy with her school. She works with me to tailor my lessons to the music I am interested and my long term goals for playing piano, learning music theory, composing and improvising. She continues to develop my skills at playing piano. She sets goals for me and I get weekly assignments which helps keep me accountable. She offers many different lesson duration options and is very accommodating if I need to reschedule a lesson. I also love that she has all her students perform in a recital a couple times a year and offers certifications. She also offers group performance opportunities for you to work out stage fright. She helps me focus on a goal and allows me to learn songs that I can then play for family and friends later. Amy is very skilled at teaching all age levels and I always feel comfortable working with her and asking questions. I highly recommend her to anyone; if you have had a previous teacher or if you are a beginning student, she works with you to tailor your lesson to fit you. She's amazing!

I found The Hunter School of Music through an article in the San Jose Mercury. It gave an address that was right down the street from me! I went to the school's website, sent an e-mail and got a prompt reply. I am delighted with my teacher, Brian Ciach. I am grateful to have met Amy and I look forward to learning to play the piano and be immersed in a world of music! Amy is great at finding and communicating upcoming musical events relevant to beginning students and those more accomplished. Brian is a wonder at composition and regularly performs and writes original music. Lesson prices are very reasonable. I think myself lucky for finding Amy and Brian!
