"So I live in Alabama and have a friend in Tn. that had bought a dog from Vince. The dog was one of the best working dogs I have seen. The dog was the perfect balance of work and home. I reached out to Vince with some questions about a dog I had just bought. Being that I don't have the time to take off of work and fly out to California with my dog and train with him, Vince never once hesitated to answer my questions. I kept him up to date on my training and I hit a wall, I had a few problems I couldn't seem to work out. Vince offered very precise training advise and even went so far as to ask me for a few videos and then sent me some videos of the training I could use to show me exactly what I could do to accomplish my goals. Nobody else would have done that, nobody else would have cared. Vince truly cares about dogs and wants to make sure that you and your dog have the best relationship and quality of life possible. I am actively trying to find a way to get me and my dog to him so I can train with him and thank him in person for all that he has done for me. It's never hard to discern when someone is doing it because they love what they do or if they are doing it because they love them money it brings. I can assure you Vince is in it because he loves dogs and he loves what he does. Truly one of the best people I have met in the dog training industry. Thanks again Vince for everything you have done for a know nothing beginner like me."

"After doing research, I decided to give Raquel a shot at training my dog, Cali (and my girls and I). Cali is a rescue, possible Wheaton Terrier mix of some sort. She is basically good, but barks at the door, in th3e backyard, and shows aggression toward other dogs while on walks, which was making walks miserable. Basically, I wanted a dog who would obey basic commands and be polite. I have previously enrolled in and completed dog training classes. This had some benefit (mostly Sit and Stay), but took 10 Saturdays to complete, and it seems the training (especially on leash) hasn't stuck. I'm sure that has a lot to do with my girls and I being inconsistent. I learned from Raquel how a dog thinks, which is so beneficial to know. The lessons learned in 4 hours with Raquel have been WAY more beneficial than those 10 Saturdays in doggie school. Her methods are SIMPLE, so if you need a ton of information and homework to feel you've gotten your money's worth, look elsewhere. I have given this 5 days before reviewing, just to see if all this dog training stuff really is as simple as she taught us. Guess what?? It is! Cali is still learning to be polite on the leash. This will take time, because she's established some very bad habits. However, there is already GREAT improvement. As far as barking at the door, as soon as she even thinks about it, I tell her "quiet" and "go back," which she obeys immediately. Raquel actually trained her to do this while she was here, and it has stuck. So awesome! A word about the e-collar. This is used as a training tool. My dog definitely needs it, especially on walks. In the house, she is already not really needing it. It feels like a vibrating cell phone. It does NOT hurt; it's simply a distraction. Once you hire Raquel, you'll learn the art of distraction (think about how you distract a 2 or 3 year old to avert a breakdown... dogs are the same way.) The e-collar has been amazing and we don't even use it very often. I love my dog like she's my baby and would never do anything to harm her. I want her to be confident, well-behaved, and happy. I truly believe proper training gives her (and me) these gifts. So open your mind (and be prepared to spend a pretty penny) and hire Raquel. You will not regret it."

"Jake is, by far, the strangest dog that I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I rescued him when he was 4 months old. His beautiful blue eyes, wrinkly face, and “I can do it myself” attitude captured my heart the moment I first met him. From what I can gather, his first few months of life were rough. He was found by the side of the road with both of his back legs broken, and the day I went to pick him up, I also learned that he was (and is) completely deaf. After my first few days with Jake, it became clear to me that he had in some way been abused. Unlike any other young puppy I’ve ever met, he was very unwelcoming to touch of any kind. To make matters worse, I quickly learned that he was not very fond of other dogs. It started off with growls and nips, and as time passed, it quickly turned into calculated attacks. I could see brief glimpses of his sweet and soft at home, but there was such a thick layer of anger covering it up. It made me so sad to see him this way. I spent months learning how to train a deaf dog, and socialize aggressive dogs. Google became my best friend. But try as I may, Jake’s aggression towards other dogs became, quite frankly, unmanageable. Eventually, I had completely given up trips to the dog park, hiking, the dog beach, and really any form of activity that offered a chance to encounter other dogs. I was sad, and Jake was visibly becoming very depressed. The quality of life for both of us had diminished, and I felt so guilty and hopeless. I felt like I had nowhere to turn. And then I met Ralf. I had tried other trainers in the past, and one had even told me that there was nothing that could be done for Jake at all. So suffice to say, things didn’t seem promising, and I didn’t have a lot of hope going in. I can’t tell you how wrong I was. Very quickly, Ralf taught me about being the leader and making Jake both respect and trust me. We learned that Jake’s aggression was actually coming from fear and not dominance as I had originally thought. All of this time, I had been treating the wrong problem! As a happy side-effect to our sessions, our walks improved (no pulling at all!), and Jake started to let me touch him in places I’d never been able to before (ears, paws, belly, etc.). He had become more affectionate, calm, and seemed much more relaxed. Then, after 2 years of failed attempts, I was shocked and amazed that within only 3 months of working together, we were able to take Jake INTO the dog park for our lessons. Soon enough he was off leash and it was only a matter of a few weeks until we saw him, for the first time EVER, actually PLAY with another dog. He was running, wrestling, and jumping just like a puppy should, and all of this without any aggression being shown. I literally started crying, right there in the middle of the dog park. The change that I have seen in Jake is nothing short of a transformation. Family members have told me that he is a new dog, and we are now taking regular trips to the dog park. I even took Jake camping with 2 other dogs and he did great! I cannot say enough about Ralf and the fantastic work that he’s done with my little canine hero. He has literally changed our lives for the better. Thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it. I fully intend to call Ralf with any and all of my future dog training needs, and highly recommend him to anyone with dog needs of any kind."
