Gilbert was the boxing instructor at my gym. I took his classes 2-3 times a week for over 2 years. I enjoyed his teaching style and personality so much that I hired him as my person trainer for a period of time. If you train with Gilbert I can promise you'll always leave your workout dripping in sweat. Gilbert is extremely knowledgable and patient. He listens to his clients wants and needs and caters the workouts around their needs. He's an excellent instructor. No skill level is too big or too small. He can take a person who has never put on a pair of boxing gloves and turn them into the next champ. I wish Gilbert was still an instructor at my gym. I miss his personality and his intense workouts. If you are looking for a trainer I highly recommend Gilbert. You won't be disappointed.

I am a Human Resources professional and I was lucky enough to get the chance to work with Gilbert to offer our employees a boot camp class on weekly basis. We receive wonderful feedback from our employees, many of whom tell us the workout class is the best company perk that we offer – and as an attendee, I have to agree. Gilbert is a great trainer who does a fantastic job of motivating his trainees to push themselves, while building our confidence to try new things. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to health and fitness, inspiring our employees to lead more active and healthier lifestyles. It is his consistent, positive feedback that keeps our employees enthusiastically coming back for more, despite fighting off the soreness of the previous work out! I would absolutely recommend Gilbert as a personal trainer at the individual and group level.

I have had the pleasure of receiving Kickboxing and Conditioning training from Gilbert for over a year at my company. When I started, I was overweight and my exercise routine was nonexistent. Throughout my training, Gilbert always encouraged me to push myself to the limit and was very informative in demonstrating which muscle groups would benefit the most from the current set, as well as the proper way to perform the exercises. All it took was 6 months of 1-hour sessions twice a week and I dropped 35 lbs! At my workplace, he created an enjoyable workout atmosphere by keeping every class unique – including the songs he puts on. He really exhibited his passion and thoughtfulness by always asking about my progress, and encouraging me to go the distance. I am now in the best shape of my life and I owe it all to Gilbert!

In NOV 2011 the gym I had been going to for over 20 years moved to a new smaller location. In the previous 5 years I had gotten out of shape and overweight due to business travel and our first child. Luckily the gym started a new kickboxing class with Gilbert Tinoco as the trainer. It, and he,were just what I needed. I had no prior experience. Gilbert implemented a good exercise program mixed in with teaching proper punching and kicking techniques. Gilbert was attentive and motivating, and played good music. I started taking his class 3 times per week. Later on, in 2014, I also took some private lessons from Gilbert, focusing on technique. Gilbert left at the beginning of 2015 and by that time I had lost 10 lbs (not due to dieting!) and had gotten back into decent shape. I consider myself lucky to have had Gilbert as my trainer and highly recommend him!

I participated in Gilbert's kickboxing classes for several years. Based on the great experience I decided he would be a great addition to my clients workout program. I've never had a better training experience and my clients felt the same way. Gilbert worked every muscle in numerous different ways. In the time we worked together with clients he teaches kickboxing technique on a level that truly improved their self esteem and fitness levels. His routines are very well balanced. Some based primarily in cardio, some in strength, some in balance and core technique, some in flexibility and others that combined them all. The variety made the workouts interesting and challenging. Because Gilbert was monitoring cardio capacity, strength and flexibility client and myself could see the progress from all the work. This was a huge inspiration. During workouts, Gilbert was a source of knowledge on physical therapy, anatomy and workouts. A final note, when Gilbert is doing working out with clients, he stays focused on you. He's not busy chatting with others or looking around the gym. He's a real professional. I highly recommend him!

    I have been doing martial arts for seventeen years, teaching for thirteen years. After competing for nine years it was almost natural to go into this field.

    Make sure you match up with your trainer to be. Don't get stuck with someone you cant work well with.

    It takes persistence, you get out whatever you put into it.
