Introduction: I adjust to the student's needs and I love to help them reach their goals. Learning a new language takes lots of practice and perseverance, and it's important to continue what you have started in order to see the results. I have been teaching Spanish for 20 years. My experience involves helping teens to improve vocabulary, language skills and grammar learned at schools ; adults who enjoy learning a new language; and bilingual and bi-cultural students interested in practicing Spanish to speak it fluently. I also teach homeschool kids.

Marta tutored my teenage son in our home for a year and it was like watching a miracle unfold week by week. A few weeks after Marta started tutoring, I was baking in the kitchen and could overhear them working together in the dining room. I could hardly believe my ears when I realized that my son was actually speaking Spanish - and enjoying it! Marta is an enthusiastic, dynamic, engaging tutor who truly loves to teach. She is capable of teaching any level of Spanish, from young children to college students. She will also teach to specific needs whether it is college entrance exams, verb conjugation, test preparedness, conversational Spanish and more. Marta has been teaching my daughter in a group of preschoolers for a few months and she has been exceptional. I can't say enough about her lessons plans, structure and strategy for these kids. My daughter's preschool noticed she is taking Spanish since she is using Spanish voluntarily in the classroom. We can't be happier and highly recommend Marta!

Marta is a wonderful teacher of Spanish! Marta has the ability to teach both in a school type setting (larger groups) with many children but also in small groups. My daughter had the advantage of both of Marta's styles. Marta made learning fun and engaging with hand-on activities like cooking and singing that kept the student's attention. My daughter was able to skip ahead and work on her high school foreign language requirements in middle school. We owe that to Marta! Thank you Marta!

Marta is an awesome spanish tutor! She makes learning a new language fun. She is fun because she comes up with new ways to learn vocabulary and grammar. She is also very very nice and patient. I give her five stars and a huge thumbs up!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $60.00 p/hr. for a private class AP Spanish $70.00 p/hr. 2-3 people $35. 00 p/hr per person. Group classes are $100.00 p/hr. Ask for other options
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet the new student and get to know their Spanish level and what they want to accomplish while taking classes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Social Communications in Mexico. I worked as a journalist in Buenos Aires. I moved to the Bay Area in 1999 and started to teach Spanish to kids and adults until today. I studied Early Childhood Development at Las Positas CC. In 2019 I got a master in teaching Spanish as a second language.
