Introduction: In this tough economy, there are many individuals who now call themselves handyman without really having the background or love of the work needed to excel with the needs of the job. Before starting Surfline Handyman Services, I was an employed handyman with licensed contractors specializing in commercial jobs for two years and then residential jobs for two years. I love what I do, and take immense pride in my work. Many years in this business has honed my skills, and I am happy to share my expertise and craftsmanship with my clients. My job gives me the flexibility to do the things I love most: work with my hands, spend time with my family, and enjoy surfing and fishing at the beach. I also get to "change it up" by meeting new challenges and impressing my clients with quality workmanship.

Johnny did a fantastic job putting together new patio furniture as well as a fire pit. He was on time, very kind and non-stop in getting the job done. He made sure to review where we wanted everything and then set up all perfectly. We are going to have Johnny back to help with a few other home projects. Great guy!

I've hired a few handmen in the past, and have not had as nice of an experience as I've had with Johhny with Surfline. Johhny arrived on time, worked fast, is very personable, knew what he was doing and was willing to 'go that extra mile' for me. To explain - I have an OLD house (built in 1938), and I called him in on a plumbing issue (and a few other odd things to fill up the 2 hour minimum - which is fair for any service person). Well, with old plumbing, there is always a risk of 'the unforeseen unknown,' which is essentially what happened. Johnny handled the job quickly and professionally and is very reasonably priced. As a homeowner, I highly recommend Surfline for any of your repair/remodel needs.

Johnny showed up on time and did a great job fixing the cracked paint around my skylight and also textured a lot of spots in the condo that needed texture.

Refinished our redwood deck. Looks like it was truly done by a professional. He is very thorough in preparing the wood. Also, he showed up promptly on agreed to schedule. Fair price for the good quality of his work.

Set up an appointment, took the day off work, waited till about 10 after and left message. He calls me back and has no idea who I was, then stated he lost my number, then stated he was at another job 45 min away. Why would you double book or just not show up because YOU lost the number? We had already set the appointment. It wasn't like it was in question. Get my number again when you show up. It felt as if either he was incompetent or just didn't give a rat's butt. Use someone more professional and true to their word. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Yes, I've been working on my general contractors license, and I'm always on the lookout for new products, furnishings and components to better serve my customers with current styles and material applications to achieve their desired vision.
