As the owner of a mortgage and real estate company, I understand that property leasing and management companies are not all created equal. Rather than just using a friend or industry contact, I did quite a bit of research and interviewing before deciding on Tom Hong with Real Property Management. I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions my husband and I ever made. Tom provided exceptional service and advice during the leasing process. Most importantly he listened and truly gave me the impression that he cares. It seemed important to him that the property be leased quickly but that also the tenant be someone that would care for the home and be financially stable. To our complete satisfaction, all our goals were met and then some. The lease was signed for the monthly amount we desired and for twice the usual term providing us with great peace of mind. If you are looking for a hardworking, dedicated and trustworthy person to help you than look no further, you have found him. Knowledgeable, professional, communicative, empathetic, and trustworthy are all words that describe Tom. Tom Hong and Real Property Management are a 5 star company!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I found what works best is that we set up a brief phone conversation and answer each other's questions initially. We would then schedule to meet at your property so we may view the property together. We will provide a full rental analysis for your property at that time.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with property owners who struggle to fill their vacancy and who aren’t sure of how to market their property for a quick turnaround. We also work with owners that, as hard as they try, can’t find a good and stable tenant. Likewise we work with owners that simply don't have time to manage their investment property efficiently and wants to find a property management company that's dependable and trustworthy.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Insist on hiring a professional property management company that does not sell real estate. Many property management companies also sell real estate because it is hugely profitable. Company that does both will lack the focus and commitment needed to provide you the best service possible. We at Real Property Management OC Metro specialize in managing residential properties --that's all we do! Do not make your decision based solely (or even primarily) on who charges the lowest rates. We've been in this industry for a while and we've heard many horror stories about poor property managers. Again, your investment property is one of your most important assets, don't allow just anyone to manage it for you! A lower price may reflect either an acknowledgement they don't provide top tier service, or an attempt to gain business by undercutting the competition. The problem with the latter is that it leads to slim margins for the firm which lowers the ceiling on the quantity and quality of service they can provide and still remain profitable. If a firm is under-pricing their services across the board it is possible they may try to make up for it by overloading their managers with as many properties as they can (or can't) handle. What good are low fees if the management company does a poor job? Make sure you hire someone you can trust. After all, an investment property is one of your most important assets. Over 40,000 property owners nationwide trust Real Property Management to manage their single family rental homes and multi-unit complexes. Real Property Management is North America’s largest residential property management company.
