Stephan was a joy. The tuning went smoothly and I had my first piano lesson immediately following it. His breadth of knowledge is very impressive and his sensitivity to the gaps in mine made me feel very comfortable and helped with my own particular learning curve. I would highly recommend Stephan as a tuner and a teacher...

I have been wanting to learn to play the guitar for years. Finally, this past Christmas I decided to give myself guitar lessons. A little "to me, from me" gift. I found Dave through word of mouth here in Ojai. Multiple people told me he was a great teacher. I have enjoyed my lessons so much! Dave has extensive background in different styles of playing guitar. He is a professional. He is very patient and breaks things down in a way that is easy to understand. I really can't believe I have leaned so much in such a short time. I highly recommend Dave if you want to learn to play the guitar!

Tim is a real pro and a very patient teacher . I started with him and now have my 7 year old daughter taking lessons with him as well. Tim figures people out and gets them heading the right direction . I am very pleased.

We have had the pleasure of taking piano lessons from Wendy since 2009 and are still going strong. I have seen my two children flourish under her. She tailors each lesson and makes learning fun. Very positive, with just the right amount of pressure so that they progress but still enjoy what they are doing.

I've been taking Kung Fu lessons from Xander for the last 6 years. He takes the time to teach me the true Kung Fu. Unlike other Kung Fu teachers that just care about the money. He has taken me from not knowing how to fight at all and taught me how to fight very well. I have also taken music lesson from Xander. He is exceptionally knowledgeable on the subject. If you want a true teacher call Xander!

Spending every Thursday evening taking music lessons with Leah was one of the best parts of my childhood. I began taking piano lessons when I was 6 years old and continued to take them until I graduated high school. Growing up, I learned so much from Leah about music theory, playing techniques, and life in general. Leah is one of the friendliest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to take music lessons. She's supportive, creative, and constantly smiling. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would!

John Lyle is the best guitarist in Santa Barabara. His teaching ability is far above average. I was able to accomplish more than I thought I could ever do. He spent extra time finding the music I wanted, and writing it out by ear. He kept me interested and motivated with his talent, good attitude, and personality. He is well educated and has been to the best music schools. John can play anything and everything; and plays it well. When I hear John play he makes me want to be a better musician, it’s just captivating!

My son has been taking lessons as Harmony Music Center for several months. It has been a thrill to watch him blossom in confidence and musical ability. Methods used keep him motivated both inside and outside of class. I am very satisfied with our experience with Harmony Music Center and highly recommend this business.

Andrew is one of the best musicians I know. I've been taking piano lessons w/ him for just over a year & he's made the experience truly fun & has definitely helped improved my piano playing. I've also hired him to perform and he is a true professional performer, putting thought & intention into every step of the process. I would highly recommend Andrew for both piano lessons & performances.

Been taking lessons from Linda for the past two+ years; have learned a lot, including reading some music in both standard notation and tablature. She is talented in teaching middle-aged folks such as myself, and younger ones alike. Always friendly, patient, and reliable. I am learning to play an electric guitar, and plan to continue my studies with Linda as my teacher.

Dan Willard and his band are wonderful! Their music set the perfect tone for our semi-formal wedding: jazzy, classy, gorgeous. He and his group are incredibly versatile. I will use them again and again for future events of all kinds. ~Pamela Haskell

Keyvan Safinya has been giving me private piano lessons for a few weeks. In the short time that he has been teaching me I have improved marginally, much faster than I have learned with any other teacher. He is polite, professional, and very easy to get along with. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in Piano.

      About

I taught myself guitar a few years ago. With the additional knowledge I gained from taking music theory in high school, I will be able to teach guitar while also discussing how to have a stronger grasp on music reading and understating.

I have 22 years of experience in learning and 9 years of teaching guitar bass and drums. I teach sight reading, songs, theories, techniques and more.

      About

I teach private singing lessons as well as group classes for all ages and abilities and from beginning level to advance. I specialize in developing habits for long term vocal health and improvement, preparation for auditions, dealing with performance anxiety, and improving stage presence. I specialize in a diverse repertoire of vocal performance and have extensive experience in vocal coaching as well as leading vocals for a variety of music styles.

      About

I have been playing the guitar for about four years and mostly play rhythm guitar. However, I do play a few solos. Nonetheless, I can teach you basic guitar chords all the way to bar chords, eventually learning full songs. In addition, I can teach how to tune your guitar in standard tuning by ear. Although I did attend a guitar class at Ventura College twice and dropped it, I did study my guitar textbook for about two hours daily until I was self-taught, playing all of my favorite songs. Lastly, although I teach, I am still improving my own technique and hope to help someone play his/her favorite songs as well.

      About

Our violin and piano program for children is taught by using a group Suzuki Method, which has been very successful. Let them learn how to play, as well as give them the opportunity to teach their peers to reinforce their learning.
