Next, choose a small high priority project that can be accomplished in less than 10 hours. That way you can see how working with a professional organizer works for you and then schedule larger projects once you have become familiar and comfortable with a particular service provider. Also, carefully consider the background of the person you are hiring as trust is key for personal organization. Have they had a background check? Do they have a professional reputation to uphold in the community? As a local government employee, I have been fingerprinted and background checked in order to hold my job. I have lived in Santa Barbara for over 12 years, and have had a small retail business called Acorn Organics for many years.
