Pete has been helping us with our very energetic and curious black lab for about the past ten months. He has come to our house for trainings and we have been able to join him and our pup on training walks. Pete helps train our pup and also takes him on dog walks 3x a week. Pete's walks are no ordinary walk in the park! Our pup could be on an outing up in the trails or could have spent the afternoon swimming!! Our pup loves Pete and is always excited to head off on an adventure with him. We have also been able to board our pup with Pete which was a great experience as we knew our pup would be loved and cared for exceptionally well. We are fortunate to have found a skilled and caring dog trainer!
Courtney is one heck of an amazing trainer! She is not only wonderful with dogs, but she also has an incredible talent for working with people, too. She will help you to understand your dog's behaviors and she emphasizes fixing problematic behaviors instead of just managing them. I can't recommend her enough for anything from puppy training to advanced obedience and fear-based behaviors.
Five stars out of five!!! Tammy is a great trainer. In only three sessions, my new little rescue dog is doing all the training basics: sit, stay, heel, come, and down. We are working on others. Plus, Tammy is personable, patient, and so dog knowledgeable. I highly recommend her!
Logan was great to work with. Our family enjoyed learning how to train our new puppy. He was able to teach us how to walk our puppy, we’ve been trying for weeks now. Looking forward to see results. Logan was great with our puppy and the kids, very professional and comes with lots of experience!
Les is wonderful. He had new training skills for us to work on each time. He is very friendly and structures the training on what you decide is important for your dog. He would make sure I was walking or training my pup correctly before each session was over. If didn't quite train our dog enough by our next session, Les never made me feel guilty:) I recommend Executive Canine Services for a positive training experience!
Susan is an expert. She very observant, respectful and sensitive . You can tell she loves her work and your pets. I have two very senior dogs who can be aggressive with an overly active puppy. She has taught each of them skills (us too!) and we are no longer afraid to have them engage. I have recommended her to my friends already. We all look forward to her visit.
Christina hasn't yet started with my puppy, but I was very impressed with her when we met. Her references were stellar and I'm looking forward to having her help take care of my puppy!
Rusty has exceeded above and beyond my hopes for a trainer. After our first complimentary consultation for him to assess my pups behavior as well as for me to assess whether Rusty was the right trainer for us, I knew I had landed on one of the best. He possesses an incredible wealth of knowledge that he conveys efficiently and proficiently giving you the tools to truly carry over the work done in the sessions to every day life with your dog. He is professional, patient, and creative in his training, not to mention a true dog whisperer. While I originally sought Rusty's guidance for foundational obedience training and separation anxiety, it evolved to using him to assist in the journey of training my pup to be a therapy dog. Along the way, my dog suffered an traumatic experience while under the care of a sitter and adopted fear behaviors that had not existed before. I called Rusty right away for advice and help. We adjusted our sessions to address the immediate concerns so they would not become permanent. He was a complete blessing and my pup is successfully on the mend. Rusty is so well-versed in many areas of dog-training (he's your one-stop shop!) Whether you need short-term assistance, long-term, or varying areas of concerns, look no further. You don't need to take my word for it, just take advantage of the complimentary consultation and see for yourself. Absolutely no regrets here.
Emily is fantastic! She began working with our 6 month old weim only 4 weeks ago, and he is already a different dog. He has learned to be better on the leash, developing better response to commands such as sit and stay. Emily truly listens to the needs of the family and is very responsive to the individual dog needs. She is dependable, responsible and when you meet her, you can just feel her passion and dedication to puppy training. She sent us regular daily updates about our puppy's progress, including video clips. When we first started, our puppy was shy of other dogs, but after only 2 weeks, he was braver and more assertive in the dog park with other pets. Emily is a pleasure to work with and we have just signed up for another 4 weeks of training to continue building on the progress our doggies has made. She is down to earth and caring. She is also not afraid to say when something isn't working, which we truly appreciated. Our dog didn't like the halti leash, so after a couple of weeks of training, Emily came up with a different leash option and was very honest about the reasons for the change. It's refreshing to work with such a professional. Thank you, Emily, for all your dedication and hard work!
I met Emily by chance walking our dog Stella. Stella is an American Staffordshire Terrier whom we rescued through the Peninsula Humane Society when she was 5 months old. They had found her running in and out of traffic. Stella is a sweet and loving dog, and full of lots of energy. Emily noted Stella and I walking, or I should say her pulling me as I tried to not let her pull me. Despite having her 2 years, we still didn’t have the training thing down. My partner and I had been looking for a trainer but for whatever reason, just never found the right person or took the time to jump into it. Walking with her through our neighborhood in SOMA could be a challenge, and I have to admit, kind of sucked. We were using a harness that clipped on the back. Emiliy advised that what I was doing was “literally how you train sled dogs” and advised a front lead harness. She gave me a card and made some recommendations of harnesses that I could find on line. The next day, I went and got a front lead harness and put it on Stella. OMG. Like a different dog. She wasn’t pulling and would actually walk beside me. I took a video and emailed my partner, and said “You won’t believe it!”. I called Emily and we hired her that day. The changes that we have seen in Stella have been unbelievable. We live in SOMA and went from a pulling dog who would bark at skateboarders, jump up on little kids, and eat everything on the ground (including homeless pooh – gross!) to a dog who is interactive with us, plays agility games (jumping up or standing on hydrants for a treat), backing up from children and sitting calmly for attention, totally ignoring skateboarders, and leaving homeless pooh and other things where they belong, on the ground. I am amazed that this is the same dog. What I love the most about Emily and her training is that her techniques are about management and engaging your dog. Stella is Stella. My partner and I don’t believe in shock collars, aggressive management or training your dog into submission. The first part of her life was hard enough, we want a relationship with our dog of trust and love. Emily understands and advocates this theory. Stella is who she is. She is still the happy, rambunctious, energetic dog who loves life, people, and other dogs. What Emily showed us is how to channel that energy into productive and fun ways of expression. The training has really built a closer bond with Stella and she is very focused on us as we walk. The walks have actually become really fun. The true test came last week up in Santa Rosa where we have a home in the country. Stella goes crazy over the wildlife (turkey, deer, rabbits, etc). She will often try to get out and chase them. A front door was inadvertently left open and Stella escaped from our home and ran down the driveway, near the cow pasture. This is a dangerous spot and she has run under the fence and chased the cows in the past. My partner said, “back up” from about 200 yards away. She stopped, turned, came running back up the driveway and sat at us feet. Unbelieveable. I highly recommend Emily! The money and time was worth the improved quality of life that we have with our family member, Stella.
She came over within a day and helped us learn how to teach our puppy and we left with 3 tricks down!
We have had such a great experience with George and Notched to an OTCH with our fear reactive dog. Our pup has gone from barking and lunging at every person on walks and barking the entire time someone was in our home to happily running up to people to get treats and calming down within 5 minutes of someone entering our home. George's detailed training plan and support made working with Kole possible by alleviating many of his fears. We took Kole to Home Depot with us the other day and he calmly walked next to us while we picked flower pots for our yard and even let someone in an ice cream shop pet him on the head. We never thought this would have been remotely possible a year ago and we certainly couldn’t have come this far without George at Notched to an OTCH. Training a dog is a lot of work and nothing happens quickly, but the help and support George gave us was invaluable and we’ve made so much more progress than we ever thought possible. We really can’t thank them enough for helping us help Kole become a calm and relaxed pup who now sees people as treat-giving friends rather than something to be afraid of. Stella not only watched my puppy but trained him this past week! She has saved my life with the potty training and it only took her a few days!!! She is very knowledgeable when it comes to puppies. Everything went smoothly! I was so happy to get updates and pictures of him everyday. I'll be using her again for sure.
I find Mary to be very professional, friendly, conscientious and knowledgeable about the many things necessary for taking care of our cats when we are away. I also know Mary just attended an extended training on pet CPR and First Aid which makes me more impressed and comfortable with her skills. I think our pets get more individual attention from Mary when we are gone than we can provide during a normal work week. I highly recommend her. I can tell my cats get great attention from her and I have seen her interact with them and they are very comfortable with Mary.
He is great with both my dogs who can be a handful at times. Patrick also went out of his way to help my dog Panduh during emergency eye surgery. I highly recommend him for training and any boarding needs!
Gail is amazing! She walks Tucker 4+ days a week and is always on time, friendly and reliable. She sends daily videos and takes Tucker and his friends to different parks throughout the city. Additionally she has cared for him overnight at my house. I trust her 100% and am so lucky to have her care for my puppy while I am away. Happy to have her in my life and so is Tucker.
Stoakly, had issues with leash pulling, attentiveness and general obedience. After working with Keynoe with his 3 week transformative program, Stoakly is a completely different dog! Listens to basic commands when we walk and is so much calmer. We even had the opportunity to hang out with other dogs at the local park - the dogs got along so well and Keynoe managed all their behaviors at once. I was really impressed by how easy Keynoe is to work with, his professionalism and flexibility when working with me and Stoakly 1:1. I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking for help with training and even if you just want a fun and reliable friend for your dog.
Still training with Gloria, she is very professional, and provides good handouts of skills we teach and more.
