FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are $250 per hour. I’m offering a back to school special rate for Thumbtack of $150 per hour with a package. To make sure that it’s a good fit I offer that students can pay for one hour upfront and pay the difference in the package if they would like to continue. They can also get sessions one at a time for $300 per hour, but I really prefer to work with my students long-term and know that we are going to do at least 10 sessions together so that establishes a long-term benefit for them in their lives.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Very simple. I have a zoom link and students can meet me on zoom or call me on FaceTime at the time we schedule. I ask that my students pre-pay for the sessions so that I can reserve the time for them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been doing math since I was five years old, in middle school and high school I was in the math club, I worked at Microsoft for two years when I was in high school as a high school intern doing computer programming which also helps structure my mind mathematically, I earned a degree in physics from the University of Washington and have spent the last 15 years expanding my a mathematical abilities and my ability to teach Mathematics.
