FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not really. I try to work with my clients and figure out a way to give them the event of their dreams within their budget without scrimping on quality. I became a Certified Wedding Officiant to help resolve that issue and make my services all inclusive. I try to provide pricing tiers after talking with the client so that the quote I provide them includes as much as possible on their wish list.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, there are seminars, symposiums, conferences, and literature I keep up with.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell into it. In high school I was our sorority's party planner, treasurer, and fundraiser. I planned amazing fun events on shoestring budgets. Later, I attended a huge corporate BBQ that was so fun that at the end of the day I said to my mother that this is what I wanted to do. I began corporate remote broadcast events while working in advertising and branched out to trainings, seminars, community events, and nonprofit carnivals, walks, auctions, and festivals with over 200,000 attendees and volunteers. As my children grew we planned together fun themed parties that later branched into planning bar and bas mitzvahs, singles parties, and bridal and baby showers. Later, I was asked to help plan and offer advice for a co-worker's wedding in Torrey Pines. It was a fairy tale wedding, so I recommended white doves, a white rose petal path leading to a lovely wedding canopy and three classical violinists wearing long flowing dresses. It was the wow the parents had hoped for and a really beautiful event.
