FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My piano lessons are $65.00 an hour. Less time doesn't allow me to teach at each lesson what the student needs. Each student learns differently and I teach to that student's understanding.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet and talk with a prospective student. It doesn't matter what age. We need to see if we get along and would be a good fit for one another.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began to study piano when I was 10 years old. My teacher's name was Douglas Johnson. He had graduated from the Havana Conservatory of Music in Cuba at the age of 15. He came to America at age 15 and began to study with Moriz Rosenthal, who was one of the great pianists of the early 20th Century. Rosenthal was one of Franz Liszt's 12 students. Liszt was a student of Carl Czerny, who was a student of Ludwig van Beethoven, who was a student of Franz Joseph Haydn. I studied with Douglas Johnson for most of my life until he passed away. I also studied at Boston University's School of Fine and Applied Arts as an Applied Piano Major. Yp
