Ian Scherer is a good friend of mine who used to be my next door neighbor. I was always impressed by the music I heard him playing and floored by his live performances and I found out how well-known and respected he is in the Santa Rosa music community. Having always wanted to learn to play and dabbling a little over the years, I decided to take lessons from him. The results have been phenomenal! In just three months I have learned all the major, minor, and 7th chords in all positions, all the Ionian scales, the various modes of the scales, all the keys, and how the keys are constructed from the scales, etc. This has unlocked the whole system for me and I am so excited because it's all coming alive for me like never before! Plus we have begun delving into song and how these various tools work in the melody. It feels very good playing some of my favorites I have always played air guitar to! Lol. I can't think of anyone else I would rather learn from!
