Introduction: We work with Students to achieve their highest potential. Here at the LMC, we are approaching each lesson with goals of performing or recording. Students are inspired by the atmosphere here and are able to work with like minded musicians and seasoned professionals to make each lesson unique and inspiring. I love to see students grow and start bands and eventually write good original music. I am blown away at the amount of talent that walks through that door every day and am honored to be apart of it.

We couldn't be happier and neither could the girls. They look forward to their lessons. They are learning far more and thinking more creatively than they would have without Nate to guide them. My mother, who has been visiting the last few weeks, is amazed at the progress they have made since she last heard them play. Mom remembers practicing her chords and scales with loathing, but the way Nate plays along with the girls makes it much more fun for them. I especially appreciate the way Nate approaches each girl as an individual (they are twins.) They respond differently and learn differently, and it is great that he teaches them differently. One is a perfectionist to the point that it can hold her back -- so the improv is a great way to help her. The other thinks faster is better, so he made the right decision in giving her pieces with lots of finger movements. It is apparent that Nate puts real thought into the assignments. We want them to be happy playing the piano for the rest of their lives. It doesn't matter how quickly they learn, or if they ever play for others. The only real goal is that it brings them joy. Some weeks they are under prepared for their lessons because they don't have enforced practices. But they sit down at the piano whenever they find a free moment and play because they want to, which is exactly what their mom and I had hoped for.
