Partners 4 Well Being

Introduction: I work with individuals and couples, both as a coach and psychotherapist. With couples, I work to restore & strengthen the attachment bond by helping each partner to do the following: 1. To become curious about, discover and deeply accept their own feelings and needs; 2. To give voice to those feelings & needs to each other--and; 3. To become willing to hear & accept their partner's feelings, needs and point of view. It is, of course, necessary to help each learn to navigate differences and conflicts peacefully, especially by revealing our basic needs for closeness, security and connection that usually underlie "disturbing" behavior (such as criticism, complaining, yelling and even infidelity). I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and also employ John Gottman's and Stan Tatkin's methodologies. With individuals, I use Focusing and Acceptance and Commitment therapy to cope with trauma, depression, anxiety, and AD/HD. I am becoming certified in a powerful method to "re-wire" our negative emotional habit-patterns (see EBTconnect.net). I also recommend non-drug approaches (e.g, meditation, exercise, & nutrition) to such conditions as depression, anxiety, and AD/HD. In addition, I am trained and certified in money and career coaching. And I bring 40 years of work my own psychological and spiritual work (inc. regular meditation), which enables me to both empathize with and provide a myriad of tools for my clients.
