Ben did some remodeling for our house in 2017. He was clear about the necessary steps and was dependable. He showed up when he said he would, and the work was finished on time and on budget which is very rare for contractors. He also provided thoughtful solutions to an outdoor drainage issue we had in our older home. A couple of years later we also hired him to do flooring at my relative's house, and he again completed the work on time and on budget with his team. We have always loved working with him and would gladly use him as our contractor on future jobs.

I used Ben Oded for replacing my roof and building a customized aluminum patio cover. Both projects were completed on schedule and within budget. Ben is extremely knowledgeable in home construction and renovation. He is very responsive and addressed any concerns or issues with these projects. I would definitely use him for any future home renovation projects!

YB Builders are really organized and punctual and efficient and Ben is a family man and a person of integrity. I loved that he sent a Google chart with supplies to purchase with details like plumbing specificities so we could work together (and even sent pictures so we could see what the tiles look like in a drafting pic) that helped me figure out what kind of parts and tiles to purchase. Great experience and our bathrooms are amazing.

We hired Ben and his team to do a full remodel of a 1940 bungalow in Burbank. Immediately upon meeting Ben I knew I wanted to work with him - not only did he clearly have the intelligence, experience, and taste I was looking for, but his problem-solving and communication skills are excellent. We all know surprises and problems arise during construction, which can be time consuming and stressful. That stress only compounds if your contractor doesn't communicate, or tries to hide it, or even worse lies about it. But that never happens with Ben - he's a true professional and treated us with respect and intelligence. When a problem arose, he came to us, explained the situation, offered multiple solutions and the costs/tradeoffs of each. Then we agreed, together, on the best course of action. Due to Covid (adding more complications!,) our remodel took a few years to complete and Ben was our partner the whole time. The craftsmanship is wonderful, the partnership was fruitful, and this house is everything we asked for and more. His team of subs were respectful and hard workers, and proved themselves to be indispensable throughout the process. Even after the house was finished, he was available for questions and issues (and a particularly annoying cabinet hinge - but that's on IKEA, not him.) There are a lot of companies out there that can do the newest, or biggest, or flashiest remodeling or construction work. Our house isn't a multimillion dollar compound, but Ben and his team treated it like one and made it feel like one within the budget that we had. If you are thinking about hiring YB Builders Group, reach out and meet with Ben. He's a great guy and I'm happy to also call him a friend even years after the work is done.

I could not recommend Ben Oded and his team more. I've now worked with Ben on multiple projects, including a new bathroom, renovations of existing bathrooms, electrical, plumbing, and most recently, an ADU, and on every occasion, Ben and his team have delivered. Ben is honest, reliable, and direct. When he says he is going to do something, I never have to worry about it getting done. He'll also be very honest with you about what's possible and at what price. There are also numerous examples of Ben going above and beyond. One such example was around my wedding. The week before the wedding, we lost all hot water...We had multiple plumbers over, but no one could find the solve. Two days before the wedding, we were scrambling. I called Ben, and within an hour, we had a plumber over, who fixed the issue and at a fraction of the cost. Ben is also incredibly organized. He pays special attention to detail, which is critical to a successful renovation project. I also really appreciated his years of experience, which have helped him to see around corners, anticipating issues before they happen. I also want to call out how responsive Ben is. I've never had to worry about Ben following up or getting back to me or my wife when we had questions or concerns. I have had a lot of negative experiences with contractors in the past, but Ben and his team have changed that. I now have a contractor for life. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for any level of renovation on their own home, and investment properties. Thank you to Ben for years of incredible work, and to many more to come.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    If you are looking for cheap, we are not for you. We pay our workers well, and we carry all the insurance to make sure you and we are protected. On top of that, you get a dedicated project manager, and for those reasons, if you need handyman work, we are probably not a good fit.
