Our search for help with our cabinets started after purchasing a home that was in desperate need of help to move out of the 80’s. The cabinets were solid oak, with great hardware, and many nice pull outs and other features. Good cabinets, they just needed a refresh. We began our search and education about cabinet refacing, re-finishing, and replacement. We looked at several refacing companies that wanted to charge in excess of 10k for sub-standard panel doors. And no work done on the inside of the cabinets! We had a very hard time finding a refinisher. We eventually found 2, Fernando being the only one that got back to us in a reasonable period of time. Fernando came out quickly, looked at the job, explained his process, and quoted us a price. We shook hands, and set a date. He arrived on time and got right to it. He had to work around our floor refinishing, and some painting and did so with no issues. We had a very tight schedule, with this being one of the last jobs to be done before moving in. Even with a few modifications that came up, he got it all done, and it looks great! We are so happy we did not go with a refacing and frankly we would not have been able to afford getting new cabinets that even approached the quality of these cabinets. So refacing really turned out well! I highly recommend Fernando Fernandez for cabinet refinishing. He is a no BS, down to earth, and honest guy that knows his trade well.

Fernando did an excellent job painting our kitchen cabinets white. Our kitchen has been transformed and it looks like we have a brand new kitchen! He was incredibly responsive to our requests, and took each portion of the kitchen step by step. He takes a lot of pride in his work, which translated into a high quality finish with all details attended to. I would highly recommend Fernando if you are looking for a cabinet repainting job!

Fernando is a perfectionist!! We have conversion varnish cabinets and he is restoring a very large kitchen, hardwood floors and some antique wood pieces, He is simply an artist!!!

If we could, we would give Fernando 10 stars. He is the ultimate professional who takes pride in his work and ensures it meets his customers expectations. We received 3 bids, and while they were comparable in price, he was the only one who was going to refinish the cabinets by hand, not spray. His method was much less disruptive and allow us to see and approve each piece as it was done. He willingly adjusted doors and drawers and installed knobs - and cleaned and polished the granite counter tops as well. He ensured he left his work area clean and left no trace of stain or sanding residue anywhere. He was polite, pleasant and professional. He is definitely a top pro and one whom we highly recommend.

• What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

  there are standard prices to our processes, but each job has its variations and its specific conditions as well as the owners expectations and budget. Wood Pro has always been flexible with its customers and provides the service at a reasonable price so the customers feels comfortable to pay for the services provided.

• What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

  When a customer is interested in learning more about wood pro, they respond to our bid, and usually it takes a personal visit to the job site without cost to customer to asses the job and discuss what the customer needs and expectations are. once this is done a verbal estimate follows. if agreed, we then proceed to formalize the agreement in writing stipulating all the details of the job and expectations of the customer as well as payment conditions.

• What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

  I am in constant look out for the best water based products, and innovating processes. plus 15 years of experience in the wood working business, from furniture design, manufacturing and installations. Always looking for the quality and customer satisfaction.
