FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fees are based on the types of forms needed to complete the return. The more complex the return, the higher the fee. When I quote a specific fee for Thumbtack clients, it is an "introductory" fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask new clients to provide a copy of their previous year's return so that I have a point of reference. I normally meet new clients at my office to discuss their tax situation, get to know them, and to answer questions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In order to maintain my credentials with the Internal Revenue Service and California Tax Education Council, I have yearly education requirements. This includes education in the areas of Federal Tax Law, California Tax Law and Ethics. I voluntarily participate in the IRS Annual Preparer Program and I've passed the IRS Registered Tax Preparer examination.
