Introduction: Rabbi Brian is an ordained rabbi who leans to the left of John Lennon. He strives to make wedding ceremonies reflective of the couple who are getting married, not to re-hash the same old ceremony that was taught to do.

Rabbi Brian performed the wedding ceremony for me and my husband 7 years ago. At that time, we didn't know him well on a personal level but he came so highly recommended from family and friends in California that my mother insisted(!) we fly him to Oregon. My husband and I came from different religious backgrounds but I wanted to incorporate various Jewish traditions into the ceremony. Rabbi Brian followed our lead and even gave us a few ideas of "fun" traditions to add in that are now quite memorable components of our wedding. His style brought the usual smiles and tears of joy but also lots of laughter, which was so important to us. So many people, to this date, still randomly comment about how much they enjoyed our wedding ceremony specifically remarking about Rabbi Brian. Since our wedding, we've become true friends with Brian and we couldn't imagine having anybody else play such an important role in the beginning of our lives together as husband and wife. The moral of the story: HIRE HIM!

Just to think, all those years ago I commuted to your wedding, and now I live just blocks from you. I thank you for taking the time to write this. And, I am certain I will see you soon. -Rb

Rabbi Brian officiated at our wedding on June 18th 2011 & we still have guests comment to us about our "Rockstar Rabbi". Simply put, Brian was amazing. Brian met with us several times in the months leading up to our wedding and with each meeting he made clear to us that the wedding is about us. Any preconceived notions about how a wedding was supposed to be were discarded, we were free to mold the ceremony and reception anyway we decided. He patently went over several options and scenarios with us based on his experiences and helped us create a ceremony that reflected our values. Brian thought of creative ways to bring several of our loved ones into the ceremony that allowed them to become involved in our special day but still managed to keep the focus on us. We are a multi-faith family and Brian masterfully blended our religions together in a beautiful, funny and very touching ceremony. We cannot say enough good things about him.

I attended a vow renewal ceremony officiated by Rabbi Brian. He was thoughtful and caring and brought much warmth to the event.

Rabbi Brian made two of the most important and beautiful days of our lives so special: our marriage day and our baby-naming. Just the thought of the services brings tears to my eyes because they were so moving, heartfelt, and welcoming to everyone there! I couldn't recommend him more as a guiding force for whatever you need!

Rabbi Brian married my husband and I 5 years ago. To this day our guests say it's the best wedding they ever attended. He helped walk us through the wedding process with grace and little stress. We are forever grateful to Rabbi Brian for performing such a heartfelt ceremony filled with tears of joy and laughter!
Religion Outside The Box's reply
I thank you.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We need to talk. I want to know what is involved before I give you a quote. A Vegas-wedding and a backyard wedding are VERY different situation.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I do personalization of wedding ceremonies. Something that is reflective of the two of you – not of what you 'think you are supposed to have' – but of who you are.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find an officiant that you like and who you feel can create a ceremony reflective of you. The ceremony is über important.
