I had such a great experience. Before attending tutoring I got a C on my first math test, but after a couple sessions I got an A on every assignment including the midterm and final. I ended the semester with an A in my College Algebra class. She is such a great tutor and really helpful, I highly recommend!
Rowena is tutoring my 3rd grade child. She is very patient with my child and ensures his homework is completed and he understands.
I have a horrible science teacher but I was able to get excellent help from an Arbor tutor. Best tutors around. Fantastic deal.
I hired Arbor Tutors to help my daughter with chemistry and math. She ended up with As. Online tutoring works great with these guys as their system is better than what I expected. They were able to help us very quickly. Much better value than other companies
Mr. Nasir is the best choice for my daughter and me . He is encouraging me to learn math to , and I'm so ready to learn . Mr. Nasir is a very brilliant man and I'm so happy I found him .
Joanna was punctual, professional and very friendly. we appreciated her taking the time to do an assessment of our daughter's skills & also staying to tutor for an additional hour. she seems flexible and we look forward to discovering more of her skills and experience as a tutor.
I worked with Sam Kohli between 2014-2015 in preparation for my ACT examination as well SAT Math II, Biology, and Chemistry Subject Tests prior to applying for college. When I first started with Sam, I did not have the hottest test scores (29 and 30 on the ACT) and was in need for guidance for not only raising my score but, more importantly, gaining valuable test taking strategies that would allow me to perform at my peak when testing day came around. I very much enjoyed my time with Sam: both as a tutor and as a friend. Sam's genuinely friendly, determined, outgoing, and patient personality truly make him an amazing tutor and individual you want to work with. Because of Sam's efforts, I was able to score a 35 on my ACT, 800 on my SAT Chemistry, 790 on my SAT Math II, and 750 on my SAT Biology. I am now attending UCLA as a second year Neuroscience Major with a Biomedical Research Minor as a prospective candidate for applying to medical schools come 2019.
Madyln is a great tutor. She worked real well with my student Miguel. She has a lot of patience with him & get's his grades up. I would highly recommend her for student's who need help. Thanks
FLEX Tutoring believes there is no "one size fits all" method for teaching. What works well for one student may not work at all for another. With that in mind, we use a three-pronged approach that is wholistic, flexible, and integrative for effective tutoring to get maximum results. WHOLISTIC Tutoring to Meet the Needs of Individuals By treating the student as a whole person, FLEX seeks to address the real sources of academic issues. While each student is different, FLEX tutors are trained to look for both inter-subject and intra-subject challenges. For example, a student having difficulty with math (intra-subject difficulties) may really be struggling with comprehending word problems (inter-subject difficulties involving both reading and math). FLEXIBLE Tutoring to Encourage Learning Styles FLEX Tutoring recognizes there are many different learning styles and that not all students learn well through auditory and visual methods (the two styles most commonly used in the classroom). Instead of rigidly adhering to a particular learning style or set of styles, FLEX tutors incorporate all learning styles into their instructional approach - from aural and visual, to verbal, physical, logical, social, and solitary. INTEGRATIVE Tutoring to Achieve Student Success FLEX Tutoring integrates a variety of life skills into each student's curriculum as part of our mission to foster personal growth. In addition to subject-specific content, FLEX tutors work with students to improve their study skills, note-taking techniques, time management, test-taking strategies, and stress management. These complementary skills prepare FLEX students for the challenges of modern life - from establishing work-life balance to efficiently managing the demands of higher education.
I don't have too much experience but am good with words. My English is great, and I have a broad vocabulary, so I can edit/tutor most people or things. I am also proficient in math, up to algebra level.
I just love what I do, and I just like sharing what I know. I like explaining things that a teacher might ignore. It's easy and fun.
My goal in tutoring is not to show off how much I know, but to use what I know to help learners get better at the subject they are asking for help on. I really seek excellence in my work, whatever it is, whether it is raking up leaves in the yard, or writing an academic paper. What is unique about tutoring is that excellence is measured by how well students are helped.
I'm an English tutor who likes to help children in school and watch them strive! I have a very flexible schedule, and I always work my hardest to make sure that the student comes first.

I help kids who have trouble with mathematics. It could be from math up to Algebra II. I use tutorials to help the child understand what they are having trouble with.
In todays ever-changing educational landscape, it is vital that a teacher possess a multitude of pedagogical skills as well as the ability to engage learners with a great diversity of cultural backgrounds. My experience and background can provide that. I have been teaching English and writing for eleven years and I have a MA in English/Composition. I have the ability to build an excellent rapport with people; thus, building the trust I need to help them succeed. I thrive when I teach one on one. I engage students with a fair, firm, and friendly attitude that demonstrates respect for students and their educational goals and always strive to make the learning applicable to students lives.
I do personalized service. I was an ex-substitute teacher with California emergency credentials. I can do keen assessment of weakness and have proven techniques to improve grades with student commitment.
love to teach spanish to jr high students. Also help them to achieve their goals. I tutor K-12+ students in Math, Science, and English Language Arts. Other subjects I am able to tutor are History, Social Studies, Fine Arts, and French. For K-12, I collaborate with parents regarding the student's progress during the duration of tutoring services. College level-courses are discussed with client students on strategic conceptual knowledge. Most students I tutored in the past have shown drastic academic grade improvements. I assist students in delineating complex concepts into simpler methodology in order to increase comprehension and achieve goals. As a result, students are able to feel more confident and successfully perform well in school.
As a former public school teacher and college instructor, I provide the highest level of education and professionalism.
