I've trained with EJ for about 2 years now. Kickboxing, boxing, mma, and general fitness. Solid guy who will help you achieve your fitness goals. Happy training people!!
Started working with Shaun last winter, he kicks your butt! Started at 220 pounds, trimmed off 45 pounds in 11 months! Great guy, fun gym, best I’ve felt in years. Love the kickboxing and power lifting. Didn’t know id also get into yoga!
Full Potential Martial Arts has a fun, friendly and informative martial arts class environment. The training studio (dojo) is very clean and beautiful. Brian, the instructor, is a fantastic teacher: enthusiastic, open-minded, and really connects with his students. He's able to adjust classes to people of all ages, sizes, genders, and experience levels! The students are all really fun people to work with and the location is very convenient, in a beautiful martial arts school just off the freeway in Carmel Valley.
Reza helped me explore new aspects of kickboxing, cardio and introduced me to mild sparing. He also helped me realize that I could switch between left-handed and right-handed to maintain offensive momentum & unpredictablity. I really enjoying my training with Reza. Highly recommended.
I have trained with Gilbert at B street boxing for about 2 years. His background in Boxing and Kickboxing helped me take my technique and form into the next level. A mixture of explosive movements and static holds- his classes have made me standing above a pond my own sweat when finished. Always appreciated his stretching routines that I still use on daily basis.
I first met Chancy when he was a trainer at Title Boxing Club, it didn't long for the boxing and kickboxing classes he taught to become my favorite out of all the other trainers, the music playlist, the flow and consistently great workout was all superb. I went on to take a month's worth of personnel training sessions @ Chancy Combat Fitness. With each session I learned something new (boxing, kickboxing, muay thai) and each session after that incorporated what i had previously learned into the next new thing. Overall Chancy pushes you to do things correctly and to the best of your ability, he is an extremely humble and passionate about what he does. If you don't know this guy whether through his training or photography, then you're missing out.
I started personal training with Jeremy about a year and half ago. I was struggling to lose weight on my own and came across his kickboxing class. I was really nervous to try something I had zero experience in and was way out of my comfort zone. But he was really patient and understanding. I was really impressed and decided to look into his personal training. Seriously the best choice I made. He was able to push and motivate me in ways you don't get to experience in a group class. I like how he focuses on technique and pays attention to every little detail. He's very patient as he explains in depth of combos, movement and footwork. But it didn't stop there. My fitness goals changed & we started to shift our focus more on weight training. He was able to explain every workout and body part we were focusing on. And help me with my diet/nutrition. Not only is he very knowledgeable in all areas of fitness but he's passionate about what he does. He keeps it fun but professional. I was able to meet my fitness goals thanks to Jeremy. He's truly an awesome trainer!
Bella B Fitness has changed my life. I trained with Dawn for about 5 years on may way to a TKD black belt and beyond. She's absolutely committed to helping everyone around her achieve their best, overcome obstacles, push themselves to grow, and build long-lasting bonds of camaraderie.
I signed up to Mark's Dojo Americana after I moved my home & business to Oceanside. There were several locations I could have chosen as there are about 6 "fight clubs" along Coast Hwy. I checked out every single one of them. I wanted to know that I felt like I was in a comfortable environment for myself, and the many times I bring my daughter or nephew along. As I expected, several of the clubs were run by younger, brash, and stand offish characters. I won't name places, I'll just say that I'm really glad I stepped into Dojo Americana, and fortunately for me, Mark was there to greet me. I knew I was going to commit to his dojo within a minute of our conversation. Since then I've been part of 3 classes consistently. Mark trains a fitness class on Tuesday and Thursday I attend that incorporates fitness, self defense, some jiu jitsu, and kick boxing. Its great fun and all levels of students are welcome. I'm a huge boxing fan so I go to the boxing class also on tues/thurs in the evening. Again, all levels of experience and fitness. Javier, who teaches the class is very experienced and teaches you from square one. I've recently added another class on Mondays to try something new. Muay Thai with David. What fun that is! Its like taking Mark's fitness class, the boxing class, and using it all together, plus some new challenging training techniques. When I started at the Dojo I was an out of shape surfer that works every day, and didnt think I needed more than a surf a couple times a week. Once I hit my mid 30's I knew that had changed. I had gotten lazy and it showed on my body and mind. Now I'm 40 years old, more alert, work seems easier because my head is clearer, I'm surfing better than ever, and I've lost over 15 pounds just by showing up to a couple classes a week over an 8 weeks. I'd recommend Dojo Americana to anyone, male or female, any level of experience, in or out of shape, to use for their daily exercise routine. It has turned my life into easier, more energetic days, and very restful nights! Make the time for yourself, you'll be glad you did!
Amanda created a meal plan for me that worked with my schedule, was easy to follow, tasted good, and never left me wanting more. She then provided any support I needed after that to include answering questions and making alterations based on my needs. They best part about working with Amanda however is that you can truly tell that she gets a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction out of my growth and improvement. Her ability to keep me motivated to break through my plateaus is why I have been so successful.
BJJ Unlimited is an incredible place for Jiu Jitsu training. The level of competition keeps me excited, the environment is very friendly and humble, and the level of instruction is wonderful. Andrew of BJJ Unlimited has truly put a great team together. It's a growing team of mainly purple, blue, and white belts, so you can join and not feel like you're always going to get clobbered by these experts. The space in the gym is probably the best part about it -- there is enough room for everyone to practice without fear of getting slammed by other people practicing too close together. It is a very safe environment to learn and ask questions, and it's a great workout. You've gotta try this place... I've been to a lot of BJJ studios and I've never been happier at BJJ unlimited.
Robert is a natural with kids. He is patient, kind and really listens to what kids have to say. He is a gifted teacher and I would recommend him without reservation for any age group.
